Welllllll all the Gayweather fans swore the rewound and watched numerous times and "heard" let's fight. MAkes sense, Gayweather and his boys are fools.

Cortez is losing it as a HOF ref....he should retire!!!

Gesturing is not enough to continue the fight, as the referree in charge he should have made sure that his intention to resume the fight is seen and acknowledge by both fighters.....

Saying "Let's Go" is just preparatory for the fight to resume but it does not mean that the two boxers should begin to slug it out.....he sould have said....FIGHT or BOX!!!!

THE FIGHT SHOULD BE DECLARED A NO-CONTEST!!!!

Thats what I have been saying since this **** happend, Cortez did not instruct the fighters to box, and you dont just use a hand gesture to instruct them to box you use a verbal command.

Cortez knew he ****ed up you can tell by the look on his face when he caught the first shot out of the corner of his eye, when he noticed the time keeper ringside counting when Ortiz fell he had a sigh of releif and started to cover up his own **** up.

This is a HUGE issue I have, who is going to hold these people responsible? its the Job of the Commission to ensure that both fighters get a fair shake and that didnt happen what we got in return was a ref who turned away from both fighters who didnt have control of the fight and was busy looking at the time keeper

Box

Floyd fans will never be able to look at this objectivley because their man is in question but it still doesnt change the facts surrounding this, Floyd didnt beat this man IMO with in the rules, Cortez is the one who was in the position to make the right call and he choose not to

Watch it again. He says "Let's go" and waves them in. Mayweather saw it, Ortiz saw it.

The signal was "in". Both fighters saw it.

If Floyd vs Manny ever happens I hope Bayliss is the ref. Cortez has not been credible for big title fights for some time and is not great at controlling a fight anymore.

Yes, I don't understand why bayless was reffing main event. If bayless doesn't ref floyd manny they better bring back mills lane and pay the man. Now you know the mills would enforce. Its his ring.

He could have ment anything by saying lets go guys, he could have ment lets go guys keep it clean which he does say often in fights....

He never said Time IN Lets go....

Nope...he said "let's go" while looking back at the time-keeper...not "let's go guys" to the boxers.

and more than likely the hand signal was to motion the time-keep when he said "let's go"...he's probably now trying to cover his ass.

During the fighters instructions, the Ref says "Obey my Commands at all times" -- The Ref does NOT say "Obey my Hand Gestures in case I don't say anything at all"

What Mayweather did was show the entire world that he has, for all intensive purposes, absolutely zero class as a fighter or as a man. Did you notice on the replay that Mayweather makes it look like he is going to hug Ortiz and then he looks at Cortez, sees that the Ref isn't looking, and immediately throws the 2 cheap shots.

Wow Floyd - I wonder if Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard or any of the other greats would have pulled such a classless move?! The answer is no, but then again, you are not now, and never will be, in their class, as a human or as a fighter.

Between the 2 cheap shots - and that is EXACTLY what they were, legal or not, and his rant on Larry Merchant, he simply punctuated his inappropriate conduct in life - as witnessed by so many lawsuits and his tirade against his own Father on 24/7.
