Mayweather has never been known for power in his punches so even though he wasn't expecting the punches they weren't powerful enough to knock him out. He could have gotten up but he didn't want to because he knew he was in WAY over his head and was heading for a late round stoppage. For those who say he was doing ok in the 4the round watch it again in slow motion. You'll find that very few of those wild punches were finding the mark and those that did had no effect on Mayweather. I think the fact that he couln't get to Mayweather caused frustration and hence, the blantant headbut, which he had already did before. I'm with Arum on this. I think he was trying to get disqualified. I don't think he's ever fought dirty before. He didn't with Berto. Face it Mayweather haters, he's the best defensefive fighter that ever laced up a pair of boxing gloves.

Floyd landing 73 of 208, Ortiz landed only 26 of 148. Those are the stats but by no means a representation of what was transpiring in the ring. My opinion is that it was a close fight. Also at the end of the day it was probably 3 rounds to 1, that’s why I say it was a close fight. Also if u remember in the Judah fight PBF got whooped the first 4 rounds easy, so in a 12 round fight a lot of things can happen.

isnt Arum the same guy who defended Margarito after he got caught with bricks in his gloves in order for Cheato to get his license in texas ?

therefore arum's opinion doesnt matter, hes a shark , a snake , just like any promoter ..that's why floyd left him and is his own boss.

Manny who is supposed to be the P4P king of the sport has fought guys coming off of big loses and no champs at all (only at a catchweight and for a vacant catchweight title) If you want to criticize what Mayweather did fine, but Pac ain't been making the best fights either. Arum used the media to build Pac up into the fighter he is now by matching him against guys that were already considered lunch meat before they got in the ring with him. Floyd/Ortiz ended too soon but it had more action then Pacquiao/Clottey/Mosley by far.
If I am correct Manny threw a 100 punches per round (Clottey) and knocked down Mosley who had only been down in one round in his career from 135 to 154. But at the end of the day and my point was if a fight is boring its not the guy throwing punches and knocking people down and applying pressure. Bottom Line, Name a fight any since Manny came on the sceen in 2001 that he wasn't an action KO fighter looking for the KO?????? Just name one???? For every one you name I'll give you three of Mayweather not looking for the KO and not producing a lot of action and fans booing (Baldomir). When the fans booed at Manny's fight they were booing Mosley who I don't blame because he said he never seen speed and felt power like that before and Mosley fought everybody... Bottom line if there aint any action in Manny's fight it hasn't been his fault. So if someone loses they are lunch meat. Ali lost to Frazier and Norton who were both KO'ed in 2 by Foreman so I guess Foreman shouldn't have fought Ali right??? Using your and Mayweathers logic. If the #2 WW loses to the #3WW that doesn't put him as the #20WW. They just basically switch places Margarito lost to Mosley was that bad? Mosley lost to Cotto was that bad? Your logic is if a top 5 WW loses to another top 5 WW than that guy is lunch meat.... FUNNY my dude

            Yeah... that really happened.
Thank you. He just plugs along. If something sticks he runs with it. If not , he drops it and move to the next one.

He is completely fool of crap. He know that Floyd is in a strong position now. New people will want to see Floyd after his last fight. His market just got bigger. He also knows how hard headed Mayweather is, in relation to the Pac matchup.

"Bad boxing" is giving Margarito a multi million dollar pay day after having loaded gloves. "Bad boxing" is protecting fighters and not making the fights people want to see just because Bob thinks a fighter won't win. Which is exactly what he said about Ortiz even though Ortiz was the WBC WW Champion, 10 years younger and 14 pounds heavier. He said he wouldnt have put him in with Floyd... again he protects fighters if HE thinks they won't win.

Bob is just bitter he can't make money off of Floyd. Bob dose not have room to talk. We all know about his bribes, his scams and his lies. Such a ****ing hypocrite.

Pac's entire career revovles around Mayweather. Mayweather was Mayweather before Pac was ever "invented" by Bob. Bob made Pac by putting the pac in with Floyd's left overs and is now still using Floyd to promote his other TR fighters.. What a bitter old man.

I don't agree with Arum. Why would Ortiz want out of there when he was having his best round? it makes no sense.

He is right however that what happened was horrible for boxing and a turn-off for the general public.

Bob Arum is nothing but a lying, deceitful, manipulative, old ****.

Oh, except when it comes to Manny, that is.

Then, he is a kindly old man and father figure

Watch the tards lap this up

Even Pacquiao knows that Arum is a lying, deceitful, old ****
