The difference between 135 and 140 is not a big deal. I should have also mentioned Guerrero, who Khan will also shy away from. He has a big mouth and is so full of himself that makes him look like a joke. He could be great, but isn't there yet. He wants a shot at Mayweather without even proving himself at 147? Berto, kell brook, Jones, Ortiz, ect. are fights he needs to win before taking on the best.

I went from liking this dude to i hope some one hurry up and knock him the *** out!! One day its Mayweather said he will come to the U.K. and fight me but im not ready until December 2012,then its he dont wanna fight me,then its im ready now.Man this guy is aggravating. Now if Floyd wins he does need to fight Pacman and no one else but i would love to see him whip this boys ass after or if he beats Ortiz. Also why not fight Berto next if no one in the 140 pound division dont wanna fight you.

Khan is ready to fight Mayweather now. In truth - with Pacquiao out of the question and Bradley running for the hills there's only Mayweather left as a viable "big fight" option. Floyd isn't getting any younger and the last thing Khan needs is to fight some faded facsimile of Floyd in two or three years if he wants to secure some kind of notable legacy.

The kid is as close to ready as he can be. Whether he can beat Mayweather is another question. He certainly has the tools to cause Floyd problems. I've always said the guy who beats Floyd will beat him with the jab. And Khan has a brute of a lead. It is accurate. It is fast. It is hard and it is repetitive. For Floyd this is a major problem because the option to fight at distance and easily chisel out a points victory is taken away. If he stays back he could find himself on the wrong end of a decision as Khan piles up the easy points.

Which means he's going to have to fight on the front foot - as he did against Mosley (and Marquez - although I kind of discount this fight as Marquez didn't have anything in his arsenal to prevent Floyd dictating the bout).

Now, Floyd looked outstanding against Mosley. But let's not forget that Shane is a long, long way past his best. Khan doesn't hit as hard as Shane - but he makes up for it with speed and workrate.

Unfortunately for Khan his defence is still blighted by the bad habits he picked up prior to switching trainers. Freddie Roach has improved his defence considerably (as he did with Manny) - but it's nowhere near watertight enough to prevent a fighter as skilled as Floyd getting through. Which means the key question is whether Khan's chin can hold up. It did against Maidana, who undoubtedly hits harder. But Floyd has that horrible habit of hitting you when you least expect it.

I think this is a potentially great fight. Both fighters have their advantages and the result is in no way a foregone conclusion. It needs to happen now, tho. Not in two years.

              Bradley is a bum.

Khan will fight Mayweather because Pacquiao is sauced up.
