I don't care who wins this fight, I just want a competitive Mayweather fight. It's been so long since we've seen Mayweather really have to push himself for victory and it needs to happen. I'm not convinced that Ortiz is the opponent to do it though. It's difficult to see how Ortiz can win on points considering how easy he can be to hit and how well Mayweather deals with a swarming pressure style (assuming that Ortiz comes into the fight with a similar style to the one he used to beat Berto) and while Ortiz can definately punch, I can't see him landing enough to break Mayweather. Even if he rocks Mayweather, we know from the Mosley fight that Mayweather has good survival instincts and recovers quickly, so I'd have to rule out a stoppage as well.

Ortiz needs Mayweather to have lost a step physically or mentally to stand a chance and even that may not be enough.

Anybody using the "Ortiz drew with Peterson" line is just reaching and obviously didn't watch the fight, just looked on boxrec and saw the fight was scored a draw. There is no way that fight was a draw, yeah Lamont came on strong in the later rounds, but Ortiz controlled the early rounds and dropped Peterson twice, not to mention he came on really strong on the 10th. Any real boxing fan can see that was a victory for Ortiz and should hav never been scored a draw. Now saying all that, Peterson is a very good boxer and underrated on here, I wouldn't be surprised if in the future he snags a title or beats somebody like Khan or Berto one day. Ironically, it was rumored that Lamont Peterson gave Floyd all he could handle in sparring a while back.

At first I thought Victor won, too.

But then I went back and actually scored the fight. I had it a draw.

Ortiz looks strong but if you look at the pics, you can see just how wide he punches and how open he is to counters when punching. His hands are low and he puts everything into each punch, this will be the story of the fight. Floyd countering all night with short, straight potshots while Ortiz bumrushes him against the ropes. 9 rds to 3 Mayweather UD...great overall card lineup though.

Smh at all the posters who think s going to be a walk in the park for floyd. He is going to get hit. Ortiz packs a punch. Plus Floyd is feather fisted he couldn't even ko a bloated lw in jmm. And Floyd was much bigger, stronger, and faster.

I would like to see Ortiz win, but those are some wide a** shots with them hands low. If I was betting money I definitely wouldn't put it on Ortiz after see these photos. The best of luck to Ortiz, I can't believe they aren't correcting these flaws unless they're tricking us all.

Exactly, I suggest anyone who thinks these pics do justice go look at Ortiz open workout on YT.. As Ive said before Victor has too much upper body mass which makes him very slow and stiff, slower than Mosley in fact..

Floyd would not have taken this fight unless he was 100% positive he would be victorious, people forget he was right there ringside up close for Ortiz-Berto, Floyd already knows just what he's gonna do and how he's gonna beat Ortiz..
