so explain how beating a 147 pounder at 160 is better than anything Calzaghe did?.......
Because all Calzaghe did was stay at home and fight mediocre competition and stack up defenses against people who werent even given a chance to fight back because the refs at his fights were always so eager to stop his fights and rule it as KO win for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe also never left his little bubble of comfort to go and fight the Hopkins's,Toney's or Jones's of the world when they were still in their prime and now to come and find out that he refused to fight this Ovttke guy because he was afraid that they would be biased against him to protect the German fighter like he was use to people protecting him and his "stellar" title defenses and "undefeated" streak" back at home.

Yeah it makes sense why he never left his home to really test himself when it would have counted. Had he left Wales to come and fight Hopkins or Jones when they were still prime he would have been whooped and he always knew that. He had a chance to be truly great by flying over to fight them when it mattered the most and what did he do? Not fly over to fight them because he was afraid of flying supposedly!

Its funny how when Jones becomes a shell of a shell of what he used to be and suffers KO loses and when Hopkins is no longer in top prime form but has to resort to outsmart his opponents and doesnt have the physicality that he once use to or the lungs, thats when Calzaghe decides that hes not afraid of flying anymore even though he flew to Germany earlier in his career to fight a bum!

But to you this might as well go in one ear and out the other because you dont want to see it the way most people do.

froch clearly beat johnson and deserved at least a draw against kessler but those guys are all elite fighters anyway. are schommer, amaral, and close elite fighters?

mikkel kessler was coming off a loss......kessler is elite

glen johnson 42yr old glorified journeyman with 14 L MD

froch's last 3 fights have been against 2 guy's that just came off a loss and a 42yr old glorified journeyman with 14 L

froch only fought 1 elite fighter and he lost

i don't even know what you are trying to prove. eubank was clearly past it against calzaghe. has froch lost his last 2 fights like eubank did? no. did froch get gift decisions against a bunch of no hopers like eubank did? no. froch continually fought the best fighters in his division and did pretty good. he's as close to prime as he will ever get. eubank continually fought weak opposition and looked terrible. if he was in his prime when he fought calzaghe then you are basically saying he always ******.

the fact youre comparing Kessler, Dirrell and Glen Johnson to the likes of Schommer, Ray Close, and Amarel is shocking.

Schommer, Close and Amarel were never considered top 10 in their division, ever.

for a guy that "LACKS POWER" he sure has dominated every opponent put in front of him so far in this TOURNAMENT!

I think Casual and even some "HARDCORE" Boxing Fans OVERRATE POWER TOO OFTEN!

Power can HELPS but it can also HURT...LOOK AT ARTHUR ABRAHAM, his bandwagon was FULL after he KO'd Jermaine Taylor, people thought he was going to just walk past this Tournament and KO EVERYBODY they put in front of him...WRONG! Look at Froch, ALL OF HIS FIGHTS went to the Cards, he haven't came close to knocking anybody out in this Super 6 Tournament

Ward is just more of a COMPLETE FIGHTER, he don't CHASE KNOCK DOWNS because he don't have to, he can beat you Multiple WAYS, he can Out-Box you, he can get Rough and Rugged but for him people call him "DIRTY" when Ricky Hatton did it in his PRIME, he was just "ROUGH RUGGED AND TOUGH"

bottom line, Ward does what ever it takes to WIN and so far it has worked great for him, so despite all the HATE and negative talk, he don't have to change ANYTHING!

Ward seemingly has more pop but at the same time, i could never see him knocking out anyone the way Oktte did Mundine lol Boxing is strange sometimes.

Is andre dirrell better than Dan Schommer?.....i dont think so

Dan Schommer was 30-0 with 19 ko's , dirrell could not even get to 20-0

Is Glen Johnson better than Amaral Costa?....i dont think so

Amaral lost to the best Frankie Liles and Chris Eubank and retired with a record of 34-3 with 26 ko's
