All you posters saying Corrales was drained need to check yourselves. What weight was Mayweather supposed to fight him at? Diego fought at 130 years after the Mayweather fight.
No Corrales was saying he was weight drained.

also corrales threw (thats THREW not landed) 11 jabs in the first 3 rounds

Damn he really let his hands go, favorite was the knockdown on Corley where he was in the pocket and throws amazingly accurate close combos that puts COrley down.

It was a fact that Diego was thinking of awaiting jail time during that time (against Floyd). Diego also had the flu ...

              plus

You guys have Diego himself stating he was weight drained. You even have his trainer Ariza stating years later that he made a mistake with Diego and admitted that Diego was weight drained!!! For a trainer to admit that it was his fault years later, that is all the proof you need!

BUT as some of you have stated, did Diego actually fight for years (later) at the 130lb division? No!!! Diego, just like in the Floyd fight had a chance to fight for the title and so he went for it. So the fact was that Diego tried only against Casamayor for the title at 130. Even against Casamayor, Diego was knocked down about 3 times in those fights.

If you still say, "but if he can't make the weight why try again"?

Now to make it very clear for you all
.... How many times did Morales fight Manny Pacquiao at 130 even though you guys more than likely state in these forums that Morales was weight drained? So Morales fought for years at 130 even though he struggled, right?

While that certainly can be the case, such as with Judah or Haye, it is not the case all the time. Take Tommy Hearns, for example. He didn't mention the broken hand during the Hagler fight until years later. As for Corrales, I don't think he ever mentioned the weight per se, it can out in a book (Hauser?) and his trainers in later years. Nonetheless, it was still a brilliant win for Floyd- just perhaps not as flawless as people may think.

Corrales was 23 years old, wowwww

And he weighed in 146 on fight night and got his ass beat

May was faster and quicker. Can't hit what ya eyes can't see. Without the TKO, he would have lost UD

Mayweather did what was needed to do, like always. If the mission calls for that style to be victorious than thats what you'll see. It was the perfect game plan set forth by the genius Mayweather family, the Master teachers of The Sweet science.
