Yup, which is why he waited two years to move up to 135, right? I guess he ****ted out the extra weight overnight lol

      agree......

i wish though that floyd and gabriel had fought each other...

not so much to see who wins, but as to see how their styles bear on the fight..

not sure though how they compare physically during those days..

The brilliance of it is what he did with that left hook.

Dug it to the body. Dug it to the body. faked like he was going back to the body, Diego reacts, and brought it upstairs to Chico's chin. Corrales goes down.

        Just a brilliant fighter.

Seems a very frank and honest interview from Corrales, I don't think he is lying, why would he.

haha floyd literally can never get credit from the anyone, no matter what he does, and the Corrales fight is proof of that. that performance was a masterpiece. at the time it was an absolute toss-up with many pundits and fans picking Corrales to win.

All you posters saying Corrales was drained need to check yourselves. What weight was Mayweather supposed to fight him at? Diego fought at 130 years after the Mayweather fight.

Who knows, maybe because he was undefeated going into that fight? What undefeated fighter doesn't make excuses for his first loss?

His resume doesn't lie. Somebody who struggles to make weight that much wouldn't stay at the sane weight class for two more years. That's flat out ******ed. I'm pretty sure Corrales was a very intelligent person who cared about his physical health.

Well, he did get embarrased that night. He was knocked down FIVE TIMES and i don't think he had ever hit the canvas in his previous fights.

I love how people say Corrales was the one who was weight drained....and Floyd moved up sooner, and fought at higher weights his whole career.

Just give the man credit for his mastery. It won't kill you to say Floyd did something great.

Chico was not top 300 pound for pound of all time at any point of his career. He was weight drained when Wifbeater cherrypicked him. Meaningless performance by Wifebeater. Didn't prove anything. Ortiz is not top 600 all time pound for pound. Another cherrypicked opponent. Purely meaningless garbage.

He not just talking about the fight in the interview, he talks on several sensitive subjects.
