No, Khan can't even stop McCloskey let alone worry about Mayweather, fight is a joke. Fight Vargas. Or Maidana again.

Doesn't matter to me if Khan can sell tickets in the US, because I'm only really interested in Mayweather-Khan if it's in the UK, so the UK fans can see Mayweather fight on our shores.

Mayweather's said he wants to fight in the UK - well, here's his chance. If the fight went down in the US, it would be a huge letdown to me.

The real question is, What has Ortiz done to redeem himself of his disgraceful quitting in the Maidana match, that he is now fighting Floyd. Khan just totally zapped Zab Judah. Floyd has every reason to duck him. Floyd is already coming up with excuses so he doesn't get exposed. Floyd don't want real threats, he wants quitters that he can buy. I mean Ortiz has been literally bought. How much is Ortiz getting paid for this match again? Like 1/20th of what Floyd is going to make. Ortiz is like this skinny dog eating scraps that falls off Floyd table.

the difference between khan and ortiz, is that khan already thinks he's a star. that's why he's lowballing this guy, and lowballing that guy. khan has also stated, that when he fights floyd, he wants to be a "co-headliner." im not making it up, he said it himself.

you think victor ortiz sat down with floyd expecting "equal billing" my man? he took whatever lowball offer they gave him, because at the end of the day, its more money than he'll make for any fight for the rest of his career (unless he somehow beats mayweather).

khan is on that same plateau, IMO....he just thinks he's a bigger star than he is.

let me ask you, what do YOU think floyd meant by "amir khan sells 2500 tickets"? i hope you're not one of the ppl on this site who feels floyd is going to use that to duck this kid...

bottom line is this, unless you just started watching boxing, you know dude cares just as much about the fight at the negotiating table, as the fight in the ring itself. all he's doing here, is bringing khan down to earth. if you can't read btw the lines, i don't know what 2 tell you.
I don't think anything of it, he's just doing what he always does. I'm not sure how correct your assumption of all this is, because it's just that, just an assumption. If this is the preliminary steps to subdue to Amir Khan's intentions at the negotiating table, well...we'll see. If you say Ortiz is getting 6 mil, and Khan should get the same - I think 6 mil is a helluva lot of money to fight Floyd, I don't see Amir denying it (hence I don't think your assumption needs to be acted upon) Is Floyd ducking Amir? No, but I still stick to my initial response; I think Floyd contradicted himself by demeaning one fighters worth meanwhile fighting a guy that hasn't done any better. This isn't anything new to the world of Floyd, he's long stated things that contradicted previous actions. If you go back to my post, I didn't "try to read between the lines" because that subsequently turns into an opinion. I just pointed out what HE said, until f*ghthype or Jr. admit to a misquote, that's what he said, in writing.

It was clearly a clashed of heads that messed Zab faced up, but yea he was eating leather in that fight. Wait until Khan get to WW before y'all compare power. Remember Floyd was destroying people below 147.

Please man. Ortiz just beat the consensu #3 ww in the world in his 1st fight at ww. He earned the right to be selected by floyd or manny. And stop with the quitting madness. You feel the same way about Roberto Duran?

Khan is gonna make about the same thing right now so don't kid yourself. But you didn't answer the question. Unless you believe beating zab at 140 earns you the right to fight floyd.

we havent even seen Khan @ 147 and already people are saying he has more power and speed than Floyd. wishful thinking.

looking forward to seeing Vargas on the card. he will start the evening off right.
