So which rounds did you give bernard?

calzaghie was countered hurt & made to look silly. calzaghie "punches" were mostly landed on hopkins arms & gloves. hopkins won the fight but since he was the villain in that fight joe got the gift SD. but in realty he didn't win.
Yeah, because "villains" usually get ****ed over by the judges.
Are you 12 years old or something?

hopkins also CRIED FOR A REMATCH IN JOES BACKYARD BUT JOE QUICKLY REFUSED.
Why would his last fight be a rematch of a fight that most people had him clearly winning?

I think Pascal wants a third fight too. Seeing as they are 1-0-1 theres some controversy there surely? Rematch!

also. joe was a HELL of a lot younger then hopkins. of course hopkins will play the game the OLD MANS WAY he was not as nearly as young as calzaghie you bloke. & calzaghie hit hopkins below the belt (on his balls) thats stands for a break regardless of what you think......you can't hit a fighter on his balls & think that he's not gonna get a break.
Roy Jones jr was a hell of a lot younger than hopkins. Whats your point? Mike Tyson is about the same age as hopkins and has been done for almost 20 years.

Fighters like Calzaghe (and roy) don't age well. Hopkins does.

Is Americanbot a confirmed troll or something? It seems like he could be, but I've hardly seen him post before. Really don't wanna waste my time.

i skipped over your post. i had the fight for hopkins by 3 points......."which rounds did you give hopkins" is a RET@RD question. as if i will remember the ****IFIC rounds i gave hopkins from a almost 5 year old fight.

also most people didn't think calzaghie won. most think it was ether CLOSE or a toss up for ether guy.

calzaghie even admitted that he looked like ****.

it's because he was swinging at air while being countered & laughed at.

dude. you know VERY LITTLE ABOUT BOXING. it's not about fighters not being able to age well. it's about LEARNING THE FUNDIMENTALS......mastering the basics of boxing. hopkins have mastered the fundamentals of boxing & that gives him his longevity in the sport.......this is a gift in it's self.

we don't know how calzaghie would have done because he retired. he refused a hopkins rematch claiming that "hopkins will always be hard to look good against" translation: i BARELY got a gift from the judges no way will i rematch him HAHAHA

Actually it does matter. Calzaghe being the best of a very young division is not the same as being top 5 of of the most decorated divisions in all of boxing history. If we're comparing the two.

Like I said, Sven Ottke is one of the greatest SMW of all time, that's a fact and that speaks volumes about the history of the division.

I already exposed you with FACTS about the small guys.
What facts? LOL I was the one that provided the facts. The TWO so called smaller guys he fought at MW were Oscar and Trinidad and Trinidad was A MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION. Not only that he was a 7-1 favorite to beat hopkins. So the only legit guy you can say is Oscar and who cares about that? Everyone fights Oscar, big or small, young or old. He was the Golden Boy for a reason. And Oscar is the one that challenged Hopkins. So your theory is ****.

And as far as Tito looking bad at MW well obviously since he retired after hopkins beat his ass and never was the same again. He took about two years off, then fought Winky, another stylistic nightmare for Tito who would have beat him at any weight at any stage of Tito's career.

And yes, Tito looked fantastic against William Joppy who was 32-1 at the time, he stopped him in 5 rounds, something Hopkins couldn't even do (they went the full 12 rounds). So again, your theory is ****. If it wasn't for Bernard Hopkins, Trinidad would have been the undisputed MW champion of the world. No question about that.

You're going to come up with the age excuse like you always do.
And why would I talk about age when we're talking about his MW career and fighting so called smaller guys? He didn't lose until he was 40 years old against Jermain Taylor.

I challenge you to look at the fight again and tell me exactly which rounds you gave hopkins.

                  5 years? It's closer to 3.

Everyone thought it was close. Most thought it was clear. as did i.

calzaghie even admitted that he looked like ****.
Are we debating how calzaghe fought or are we debating who won?

So you don't think a fighter that relies on timing, fast hands and explosiveness are prone to age worse than a fighter relying on strong fundamentals and strategy?

Age has nothing to do with it. Hopkins was not a shot fighter, not even close.
                  Roy was.

we don't know HOW calzaghie would have done because he retired. he refused a hopkins rematch claiming that "hopkins will always be hard to look good against" translation & BARELY got a gift from the judges no way will i rematch him HAHAHA
It was a **** fight, and there was no need for a rematch. Why would there be a rematch? At that stage of Calzaghes career?

No one wanted to see it. Except for b-hop and a scarce circle of nuthuggers.
It was a horrible horrible fight.

B-hop has had a much better career than Joe. That is enough for him, just like Vitali can't run around crying over spilled milk because Lewis retired instead of re- him. The difference there is that fight at least people really wanted to see.

Sadly Hopkins resume after his losses to Taylor is a lot better than his career before. Together it makes a hell of a resume though...

I'm not really comparing cause I know 160 has been there longer but it doesn't change the fact that he is one of the greatest at the weight.

Ottke had many defenses as well but because he wasn't covered by the "american" media, he doesn't get as much respect.

Man I'm not going to put the FACTS on weight for the 5th time to you only for the same ****** response.
