as, I said, I am from a 50/50 family (half-Ukrainin and half-Russian) and I grew up in Western Ukraine and I also lived in 1989-1993 in the heartland of Russia, and I could say that ordinary Urkainians and Russians have good respect for each other, all in all.
Hahol is used as insult for todays Ukrainians, you out of all people should know that. As is Maskal toward Russians. And yes ordinary Ukrainians and Russians have respect for each other, but why is that any Russian living in Ukraine can't even speak our tongue. I bet anything that in your home since u being half Russian, Russian was spoken over Ukrainian, am I wrong?

Enazye, make a thread and ask people if Vitali is tougher than American fighters. See how far that goes.

Is Tyson fighting right now? What do you define as tough, on how Tyson grew up? Vitali grew up in much worse conditions than Tyson. What do you define tough? Biting ears? Punching civilians in the face? What is tough in your opinion?

I went to a Russian school. We spoke Russian at home, so that decided the school. I got an A for my Ukrainian in school, and I had B for my Russian.

I am happy for the independence of Ukraine -- it will help rebuild the respect and self-respect for its culture and language.

"Hahol" and "maskal" are not insults but rather are anachronistic country-style expressions. In southern Russia, southern Russians (Cossacks) call other Russians moskals and Ukrainians hohols, without any negative meaning.

Katsap, is an insult, as is Hahol, I dont know about you, but if any Russian called me a hahol to my face I would punch him in the jaw.

YOu lived in western Ukraine and you went to a Russian school huh? You also spoke Russian at home while living in the West right? And with that going on you think it will help Ukraine rebuild its culture and language, when any true cossaks are Ukrainian cossacks from CICH?

How will you talk to your children? I dont even have to guess, your children are gonna be the future of Ukraine talking Russian right?

Look, my father is a Don Cossack, and he is Russian. Don Cossacks speak Russian and are Russian. I was born in Russia and lived in Western Ukraine from ages 6 to 16 (in Kolomya and Mukachevo). My mother is Ukrainian who was born and grew up in Russia.

We naturally spoke Russian at home, but I busted my ass to learn Ukrainian in school. My wife is Russian, and and my son speaks both Russian and English. He is 3. When the time comes I will make sure he reads Shevchenko and learns Ukrainian history.

Ukrainian Cossacks from Sich (NOT CICH) are not the only "true" Cossacks. Don Cossacks have a very long history of their own.

Punching somebody for hohol is extreme, especially if you know the history of the word (which really is not an insult). Katsap and maskal are not insults. I never took them as insults.

                      Seriosuly,

                      Can you two shut up?

This thread, and your conversation has NOTHING to do with boxing.

                      Take it someplace else.
