Arum isn't involved in this fight at all, so why does he care? He should stick to his job and find good opponents this fall for Cotto and Chavez Jr, and he'll have his own little superfight next year. I think now is as good a time as any to put Ortiz in with Mayweather. He is riding sky high and judging by his comments about Floyd is not short on confidence. He may not win, but who has against Floyd?

But let us not take away the moment from all Floyd fans in this forum. They haven't had any good news from Floyd for over a year. It's a hard life for them when a fighter they idolized run away and go vacation somewhere for over a year instead of fighting Pacquiao. It's hard defending Floyd all the time, especially when he contradicts himself in the same interview. What I don't understand though, what happened in vacation? Why is Floyd back all of a sudden? 1 year is such a short time for a multi-millionanire to go on vacation, unless your vacation spot is the court room.

Everyone should ignore what this old goat says. He's jealous because other people can hype up mismatches just as well as him

If Ortiz was signed with Top Rank and was allowed to fight Pac the story would be different. Arum would be saying how Ortiz is a good champion who deserves a shot and all the usual BS he says.
Can't really say I'm surprised. No one should expect Arum to praise a fight that he is not promoting.

Unless you can tell me how greedy businessman Gayweather can afford to pay Ortiz a fair amount of money that he deserves, because Floyd never do that. Marquez got scraps, Ortiz will get scraps as well.
