He has one decent win against an uknown quality in berto. dude you just hate everything pac does and big up whatever floyd does. but see the facts and the facts about ortiz dont lie.
Why are you continuing to bring up Maidana and Peterson when Ortiz just won the WBC title at WW from Berto? If Ortiz was all hype like you say, then homie would have looked like crap fighting Berto like Cotto did against Clottey, like Clottey did against Cotto, like Margarito did against Mosley and Garcia and Shane against Floyd and Mora. You are basically saying Ortiz is all hype but look at the guys Pac fought. They didn't even look as good as a guy who quit and had a draw and they were supposed to be the best that Pac fought? If Pac would have fought and beat Mosley in 09 and took on Ortiz this year. I would have nothing to say but Pac fans stay giving Pac props when no boxing analyst and writer EVER gave them fighters Pac fought over the past 2 years a chance of beating him AT ALL.

And his fans laugh at me for picking against Pac but should be happy that someone thought he would be challenged but instead Pac fans bring it up like it was a joke to pick against him because his fights were already won before he got in the ring. The joke is on his fans and the people paying for his fights. Now he's fighting someone (JMM) he should be fighting at 140 (since he is so small) but fighting him at 144 (like Floyd before him). Give me a break. Arum already said Pac is strictly entertainment and no one expects his opponents to win. How much more evidence do you idiots need before you stop calling everyone a hater that likes to use their brains and think for themselves? Pac fought two title fights at catchweights and tries to get credit on his hit list for fighting Margarito and Cotto at 147 and 154 when it was 145 and 150. That is a complete and utter joke. Pac fought De La Hoya at 147 but not Cotto? Pac is a fraud.

why are you bringing pac into this, im talking about ortiz being a credible oponent and he isnt one. dude is still green and lost to a one dimensional brawler who got beat by an old morales. i dont want to see none of the hype that floyd fights the best bull**** because he doesnt. ortiz has ben chosen for a reason and the reasonn is he is hype, dont believe me check his maidana and peterson fight.

Arum you joke. You just said that Floyd would duck Ortioz because he was a southpaw.

        Unreal.

          Not even close man.

Boxing uses weight divisions, do you think that maybe you could try also ?

          Just a suggestion.....
Mayweather is a welter, how about he fight the third best welter on the planet ?

I'm saying Ortiz is unproven. Sure his fight with Berto was epic but i can't shake the feeling that it was a fluke. With the way he performed against Maidana i am still not convince. Ortiz battled his way through Berto but it wasn't a dominant one. Berto was the best thing that happened to Ortiz but in the end it wasn't a good measuring stick. You get my meaning? Not to mention that this is his first belt at welter. Bradley and Alvarez aren't welters, true, but they are unbeaten. Ortiz is over-hyped thats what i believe.

Sigh. A little less than four months away from the fight and *******s are already trying to downplay Ortiz as if he already lost. He poses a greater threat and challenge more than Pacquiao's last three opponents and *******s know it.

Then why 1 of those opponents was avoided by Floyd.

WBC Champion who beat an undefeated fighter for his title is not credible? Soooo, what would you call Pac's last opponents? The reason why I keep bringing up Pac is because you keep trying to **** on Ortiz as a legit opponent but then talking about how Pac would beat Ortiz in less than 6rds but Pac didn't even want to fight Ortiz. I saw Maidana and Peterson. Did you see Berto because you continue to try to forget that the fight happened. Answer me this question.... out of Maidana, Peterson and Berto. Who do you think is the best and most credible out of them? Remember to answer honestly.

They just can't swallow the fact that Floyd checked mate Pac. Even Arum got choked up on his B.S. They underestimated Floyd and it backfired. Ortiz no matter what Pac fans think, is consider an exciting and legit fight and opponent for Mayweather. Pac hasn't had that kind of attention from his opponents in YEARS! Floyd is indeed on another level than Victor Ortiz but there are not too many fighters who are on or close to Floyd's level of skill with the exception of Sergio Martinez. If Pac was that great like his fans claim, then he would be fighting out of Top Rank and there would have NEVER been any catchweights, Clottey, Margarito or a Mosley fight AND now JMM (eventhough JMM is the best out of the rest of Pac's opponents at this point). Pac don't want to fight no one challenging or poses any kind of threat and that's why he is looking so great in them fights. I would never even talk about Pac like this if his fans didn't continue to make up nonsense and try to push their opinions like they are facts. Ortiz is ready and he overcame his priors fights. Let the man get his money and due. The only people that are crapping on this fight is die hard Pac fans and mainly because Pac ain't fighting him first.

This whole crap is hella funny. Aren't Floyd Fans doing the exact opposite thing?? We Pac fans downgrade Ortiz(which he really is) while you Floyd fans glorify him to make as though his worthy of being on the same stage as Pacquiao and Mayweather. Ortiz has power i agree but he also has no chin. He can dish it but he can't take it thats what makes Ortiz unfavorable with Mayweather. No speed and a weak chin. To those who thinks Ortiz belongs at Pacquiao's level you're all bunch of idiots. Pacquaio will knock Ortiz in a heartbeat that is undeniable fact. Timothy, Alvarez, Ortiz it doesn't matter whether who fights who. Skill-wise they're all unworthy of the two best fighters in the world. The only fight that makes sense now is Pacquaio and Mayweather. You can deny all you want but in the end its a matter of who draws the bigger crowd. This whole thing is dumb and absurd.

I never said that Ortiz was on Pac's level but he is a better opponent for Mayweather then Pac has been facing lately. Weak chin? When has Ortiz been Knocked out? Dude gets dropped but he gets back up. In the majority of his fights he is dropping his opponents. I don't think Ortiz is unworthy to fight them. He is the WBC WW Champion of the world. He must defend his title and fight the best. I noticed Pac fans have this outlook on boxing now like bob Arum. Letting quality guys continue to fight weak competition till they lose like Juan Manuel Lopez did to Orlando Salido. Who would have thought Orlando Salido would have beat Lopez up like that? Arum has been making easy fights for a long time. When is it time for him to put his fighters in with tough guys? That's why there were so many undefeated, young fighters losing their "0's" because of too many gimme fights. The only thing Ortiz can learn from a fight against Mayweather and Pac is how to be better. What happened to boxing when the best fought the best whenever? Now it's about "he's too green" or "he ain't ready" AND "he's not worthy" BUT the same people complain about how Andre Berto never been tested and he was only hype.

Maybe because he wasn't fully testing himself and once he met someone that was hungry he got beat like Lopez, Kirkland and several others. Why do you think Ortiz quit to Maidana because prior he wasn't fighting tough opponents. Inorder to improve you have to get into real fights to learn how to overcome adversity. Bob Arum got you guys brain washed. He actually made it ok for Pac fans to cosign this and Top Rank fighters to cherry pic for money and less risk. If Pac would have faced Mosley in 09 (When Shane was begging for the fight) and Ortiz after his win over Berto. What could I say? NOTHING but Pac ain't doing it. Sure he has the skills but if he ain't fighting guys that are winning and looking good while doing then how do we know good he really got? Always screaming "he's too green" crap but how long is Chavez Jr going to get a pass? He has a title now. What about Canelo? These kids are winning titles that real fighters who are ready should be having opportunities to fight and win.
