Carl Froch has never ducked anyone because Carl Froch is a wannabe trying to make a name for himself. When you are trying to get to the top, you don't duck anyone because you can't afford to.

You are right about Cotto. He has fought everyone his managment team and Arum told him to fight. Fortunately for Cotto, his management team and Bob Arum didn't want him to have anything to do with Floyd Mayweather when Mayweather was calling Cotto out at 140.

I will not fight unless I have one right of refusal on an assigned judge....especially in NYC and Vegas...

Boom, spot on. If you are worth so much more than your opponent then chances are you're fighting a crap fight. Not true in all scenarios, but certainly many. Should be 50/50 with the provision that the winner picks up the percentage advantage of the PPVs or something like that

Wow. What insight! Based on your expert knowledge, Floyd Mayweather is the first boxer in the 100 year history of the sport to ever make a demand that his opponent considered unfair.

Obviously, you are incapable of seeing that this article touched on every active and recently retired boxing champion or star, including your god, Manny Pacquaio. Just to educate you, before Mayweather demanded drug testing for a Pacquaio fight: Pacquiaio demanded De La Hoya weigh in at 145 and limited the amount that he could rehydrate before Pac would fight him and Pac demanded that Cotto weigh in at 143 before Pac would fight him for Cotto's 147 pound belt; and he demanded that Hatton make less money than Pac before he would fight Hatton, even though Hatton was a much bigger draw at the time.

People like you make it easy for us Mayweather fans to ridicule *******s and make you look like idiots on this message board.

No it couldn't be. it didn't mention the fouling, the faking, the acting, the racist remarks, the all round bad sportsmanship combined with egomaniacal paranoia, and the delusion that he's an "old school Philly fighter". If it had, and was truthful, it also would have said that the Old School Philadelphia fighters would have chewed him up and spat him out all in one action.

In fact I think it was a combination of about 20 different fighters, with a dollop of David's rarely seen but still acerbic, sense of humour.

Otherwise I don't kbow what it was.

I have never seen anywhere that Manny P. DEMANDED that Oscar weigh in at 143 with very limited rehydration. That would never happen yhese days. It happened in the old days, as I recall reading a similiar account about a Joe Gans fight. The poor guy not only had to starve and almost ide of thirst, but it also cost him both his title and perhaps his life as he died not too long afterwards of "galloping consumption" which is today knoown as T.B.

That's clearly nonsense, Why do people post such stuff. They surely can't believe it. THEY FOUGHT FOR MONEY.....THEY NEEDED IT........THEY MADE SOME MONEY AT SOMETHING THEY WERE GOOD AT. Why did so many fighters end up broke and destitute. Yes, bad financial decisions, swindling, and ignorance, but also, because the VAST majority of fighters just about made a living, and in fact also had to have jobs to afford to be married and have families, like normal people. mostly.

                    great article dave....excellent excellent work.

unfortunately some fighters than i really like fall victim to a lot of these types of spolied behaviors, but they soon faLL OUT of favor with me.

bhop CAN pick and choose over chad though, he's beyond the point where he can be viewed as a cherry picker and including him vs chad is borderline "trash ****zine" behavior. Other than that, this is one of the best articles ive read in awhile.

reminds me of floyd since early 2003. somehow he still has a number of female acting fans though
