Floyd Mayweather Jr. started it all. The money, pu55iness, everything.
Saddest part is he comes back, fight one fight and he gets to be awarded millions of dollars. Of course, a clown who rarely fights will always attract curious onlookers. Then another looooong vacation starts. He comes back again when he's broke, steal money with boring fights.

Yea boxing has become more of a business for most fighters now. Or just pure entertainment kind of thing. I wonder how people would act these days if boxing was more focused on just courage, pride, honor, glory, etc..

Its kind of understandable that a fighter would want more money than his opponent but it makes me laugh when the fans get behind their fighter and argue the point ( like they are gonna get a percentage).
Personally, if you don't think your opponent is worth a 50/50 split of the purse then you shouldn't call them out. It takes two to make a fight after all. With todays technology its easy to work out who deserves a higher percentage of ppv's so when ordering ppv if you want your money to go to Khan then phone this number, if Bradley phone this number, if you don't give a s**t, phone this number.
Certain things in boxing should be just flat out outlawed by boxing commissions. Such as larger or smaller rings. There should be a standard size ring, none of this 20ft or 24ft nonsense. Weight of gloves should not be part of any negotiation and should just have a standard weight glove for each weight division. Example if Pac had to wear 10oz gloves for a junior middleweight fight then Margarito probably doesn't get a broken orbital (not that he didn't deserve it).
The commissions need to step up but we all know that will never happen.
