See... Oscar just lied and just bought the Floyd ducking alibi. He did Floyd a favor then Floyd flake out and showed his true identity(chicken). Oscar joining the Drug accusation brigade cost him to lose Pac and lost business. Then he got Floyd but the duck never fights.

This admittance by Oscar Proves the Mayweathers accusations were all make up lies! See u in court Floyd!! Nobody will back u up now!

If you can man up and do what Oscar just did, you are a winner.

good point! plus also if they still don't get together and do some fights then it will make Top Rank look bad...NOT GBP! Arum wanted an apology and he got one...NO MORE EXCUSES for Arum and Top Rank now.

I lost respect for Oscar. Apologizing to Manny is one thing but Arum? C'mon now.
Perhaps Oscar figured that it was cheaper and less stressful to pay the rehabilitation fees than go to court and lose a fortune. If so, then that was a smart move, not at all like the Oscar we all know and love..........

Somewhere, he acquired a "burst of reality".

Nice gesture IMO, boxing would be better of if Top Rank and GBP could settle this feud.
This gesture, if it's a genuine one, and it works, could save Oscar and Golden Balls multimillions in undisclosed damages. It could cost him a 100 mill to both Arum and Manny P. His rehabilitation fees in contrast, are "peanuts".........

The steroid accusations and going to the media were pretty low.

But Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions working together is what boxing needs.

Dear bob arum first I would like to humbly apologize for any pain I have caused to you and or your family.I also want to apologize to manny paquiao for any wrong doing in my part.you are a great champion.I have realized that by accepting my mistakes everyone around me will hopefully forgive me.with great humility I ask we work together for the good of the sport we dearly love.It is not fair to the fans and to the fighters.so today let's move forward and put on the best fights possible and show the world what we are capable of doing. Thank you bob.your friend oscar
You see he's already "thanking him". If Arum is a "softie" and it seems from his statements that he is, then the matter between Top Rank and Golden Balls is Over. Although, he might just forgo HIS own damages but NOT Top Rank's, which, after all, consists or many other high-ranked, involved people. Arum is only the spearhead.

No word so far from Manny P. about dropping the lawsuit??? He's actually in a very different situation to Arum, being a newly elected Congressman with avowed goals, included in which, is honesty. As soon as that steroid talk spread around, his re-election when they next go to the polls, was in jeopardy. As was his boxing career, as we all know. And it will never go away. t will be continually mentioned in boxing history, in years to come. His only means of safeguarding his future legacy, is to take court action, and WIN.

It may be interesting for some to know that the ancient yearly ***ish Holyday, the Day of Atonement, (Yom Kipur) has similiar goals. One fasts completely for the whole 24-26 hours, from sunset to sunset the next day, prays all day, and asks G-D's forgiveness, accepting that one cannot be forgiven by G-D unless one first repents all wrongs done to others and asks the injured ones for forgivness.
