I get people saying Ward didn't land through AA's defense, but he forced AA to constantly defend, and he landed plenty as the swelling under AA's eyes afterwards suggested. Ward looked really good tonight, I like how he moved, I liked his combos. Really impressive.

As for Bute...well hey, I want to see any and all combinations of Ward, Froch, Bute, and Dirrell. All day, any day.

There's still some serious comp for Ward at 168 cause U can't count out Bute & if Dirrell wasn't out(I don't know if his problem is really physical or mental) he could have given Ward a hell of a fight & U can't also count out Froch..Froch actually beat Abraham easier than Ward did..

bute is gonna have a hard time with anyone left in the s-6. why u ask? because all of those fighters are prime and have been fighting the best in the world. what has bute been doing? fighting trash. i wouldnt pic him over froch, dirrell or ward.

i actually missed this fight but its sad to see where abraham is at the moment, it's time he leaves his trainer and goes down a division

Bute would get Kesslerd. Ward would bully the **** out of him.

HAHAHA yeah sure....Bute the same speed as Ward can move around is bigger than ward has a very much longer reach is rangier than Ward and in some cases very similar to Ward but is a way better counter puncher of guys trying to press him and Bute can really hit at 168!! Ward has Great Defense but every other thing else is just about even But Bute can KO anyone at 168 to the Body or the Head

It caused problems, but Ward was still carrying the fight minus the 3rd round and he went to the body and neutralized any attack AA had. Abraham's moving forward while punching didn't last very long, and that's not a coincidence

Interesting to see 2 different opinons on Ward.

Of course, the othjer variable is AA. And I thought he did well the first couple of rounds. However we may have seen the reason for his "style." It seems like after a few rounds he has both general stamina problems and cramping arms. Thus he feels the only way for him to get to the 12th intact, is to go peekaboo and not throw many punches.

So it appears that Ward was in there with a limited fighter, and will likely have a much tougher time against whoever he will fight in the final, and perhaps with Bute too if that ever happens.

Good win, but against a limited SMW.
