WAR Marquez throwing boulders, drinking piss, popping speed bags, and schooling Manny for the 3rd time.
I think proving that you can be effective twice against Manny in actual fights is a little more important than being effective at a certin weight.

A very fair point. And a much closer fight than most are imagining.

Marquez gives Pacquiao fits on any day of the week, at any weight.

Also, I tried to give you green k for an earlier post, but I've got to spread it around. I'll get you on the rebound.

I don't understand the issue with the weight. JMM comes in around 144 anyway and even came in at 148 against Katsidis. The reason Floyd gets ***** is because he agreed to a certain weight and broke contract by coming in heavier. Truth is, we don't even know how heavy Floyd was at fight time, but the size difference was quite evident. .

No problem thanks a lot! but people forget that manny hasn't exactly upgraded his game all that much since he last fought Marquez. He had the right hand in the second marquez fight and the same skills he showed against De la Hoya are the same skills he's been showing for the past 3 years.

People also forget that marquez didn't perform so well against pac because of speed he was battering pack becasue he stayed in the pocket and timed the crap out of him. Marquez has proven that he can still very much do that.

                    Agreed, on all points.

A lot of people (mainly casuals) think Manny is this whole different animal at 140 +, because of what? Cotto and Hatton? Margarito, Clottey, and Mosley were all weak fights, and easy wins.

And like you said, Pacquiao had the right hand devolped already in the second Marquez fight.

Perhaps his power has increased a bit with the added weight, but his speed has definitely decreased. And Marquez really only struggled with Pacquiao's speed.

I say Pacquiao will be able to put Marquez down yet again, but I'm hardpressed to think of another fighter (active or inactive) who can come back from a knockdown (or multiple knockdowns) as aggressively as Marquez can.

The issue is that fighters cut weight and then re-hydrate with the weigh in the day before. Most fighters even in shape fighters add 10-12 lbs after the weigh in because they eat good until the next night. Manny can easily make 140 and that should be the limit here but we all know what time it is unless your a tard Freddie follower. Its funny how JMM cant even get up to 145 and manny can and has all his speed and power....hmmm....head is twice as big now too....Sometimes when we touch.....
