    Is Mosley killing boxing?

In the past 2 years, there have only been 2 fights that have gotten mainstream attention, that reached out and caught casual fans who probably have never seen a fight before.

    That's Mayweather-Mosley, and Pacquiao Mosley.

Mosley failed miserably twice, and even more so against Pacquiao. How many of those casual fans that could have been hooked into the sport and inspired by seeing 2 warriors give it their all, are now never going to give boxing a second thought again? At least Pacquiao tried, but that's never enough- 2 people make a fight.

    boo Shane, boo.

    Mosley-Mayweather wasn't boring, Mosley-Pacquiao/ Mora was.

Mayweather Mosley was one sided but entertaining. Pac vs Mosley was not a great fight but it wasn't as bad as some make it out to be. No Shane isn't killing boxing, he is just not competitive with the two best in the world.

Mosley hurt boxing more when he took steroids. Oh wait, nvm. That doesn't apply to black/American boxers cause we would be labeled as racist otherwise.

If Mosley didn't want to fight, he should have never begged for it.

When was the last time you saw any kind of boxing exposure on network or prime time? They hyped the hell out of this fight and Mosley buckled. Now the next time(if there even is a next time after this flop) the casual fans aren't gonna believe it because they already had their expectations deflated.

Mosley didn't deliver on anything he promised.

They both were extremely boring. Mosley twitched for 10 rounds against Mayweather, and just ran for 9 against Pac after tasting the canvas. He had 1 memorable moment in each fight. Memorable nearby KD against Floyd and memorable KD suffered at the hands of Pac.

He's not killing the sport, just siphoning the would be competition

We should have just had Pacquiao Morales 4 on CBS, At least that would have been a war.

and everybody would have been talking about it, instead of talking about how big a disappointment Pacquiao Mosley was.

Boxing hasn't been in the limelight for years, and it's not because of Shane Mosley. He's given Boxing some great fights. If he wanted to continue fighting, that's on him. But if you're going to point out Mosley for killing Boxing in the way you see it as he did, you should also blame the following:

                Muhammad Ali
                Evander Holyfield
                Sugar Ray Leonard
                Tommy Hearns
                Roberto Duran
                Roy Jones Jr
                Joe Louis

                and the list goes on...

Not a lot of fighters has balls to beg for big fights and he got them all. First time was the rematch against Dela Hoya. I still remember that saga clearly. He became an instant star when he beat DLH. Unfortunately, his star didn't shine long enough. Meanwhile, debts are piling up and his finances was in disarray. He had to do something. DLH gave in. Pacquaio is the last big fight for him. Unless Mayweather gives him a rematch.

Not for me, I've rewatched that many times, never got bored of it. Pacquiao-Mosley was horrible.
