We can argue Pac vs May until we're blue in the face, but I will say one thing, Bernstein's reasoning for picking Pac if they were to fight was because he believes Pac will throw 1,000+ punches like he has been doing in his recent fight. With all due respect to Al Bernstein (because he is a GREAT analyst/announcer) that is some straight up amatuer s**t. If you think Pac throws 1,000+ against Mayweather you are a damn idiot. One of Mayweather's biggest strengths is controlling his opponent's punch output with feints, counter punching, jab, setting traps, etc etc. I Gaurantee if Pac and May fight Pac will nit throw 1,000 punches. I will put all of my points on it plus as much actual money as anybody wants.

I guess you missed his development of the right hand, which he hardly used once to become probably deliver the best right hook counter in the game now.

Or the footwork, the defence and the vast array of combinations he can deliver now.

The right hand I'll give you but better foot work. Nah. His past opponents were slow. I'll give a good example when Cotto moved on him he frustrated te **** out of manny. Manny like fighters that comes straight towards him so he can turn and shoot off quick hard combos. Also like all of roach fighters they all back up in a straight line. They throw shots and back straight up.

What I think people are underrating is floyds ability to adapt. I have yet to see manny adjust in mid round. I feel (like a few) once Floyd times manny jumping in it will be all down hill for PAC from then on. Thats unless Freddy comes up with plan b and c. If that happens it should be interesting. Other wise I see Floyd pulling away from round 7 on.

Yeah I dont think he gets that many punches off either. Maybe 600-800. But 1000 I doubt it. Especially if he is hitting air in a good portion of them.

No he won't throw a 1000 punches, Roach and Pacquiao has said that when they have talked about the fight. But I don't the Mayweather will be able to control Pacquiao punch out put and will get overwhelmed.

If you look at Compubox stats for Mayweathers opponents punch outputs in EVERY case there punch output will drop dramatically, In some cases it drops to half of what it usually is.
Why people think Pacquiao will be an exception I can not understand for the life of me.

Floyd is a spoiler and will try to spoil, but as long as the ref does his job he won't do it effectively.

If Manny isn't going to throw as many punches,how the hell will Manny overwhelm Floyd?IF Manny chooses to throw less,it plays into Floyd's game-he likes a slower paced fight and if the tempo picks up,he has always slowed the other person down....can he do this against Manny-very likely,and with bodyshots (Floyd throws noticeably more body punches against southpaws), you can guarantee that this will only play into Floyd's hands...I think Manny would have to grow a boxing brain and be able to adjust in the ring instead of a gameplan to beat Floyd.
