It makes no sense at all...

People who say fighters shoulnt be written off after a loss are the same ones critizing pacmans achievements of fighting guys coming off a loss or a loss in his last 3 fights

These people are the same people who want the best to fight the best, for example the 147 division

the best fought the best so obviously so its more likely to take a lost!

I dont get why theres so much whining going on, pac fought the best comp out there other than Mosley which he is going to do now

Ok mosley is coming off a loss and a draw, Mayweather fought mosley who was actually ranked WW number 1.

But what about the other guys.. pac mixed in with top 147lbers like clottey and cotto

Pac and mayweather = ATG, HOF etc ...

but pac ranks higher, probably top 15 maybe even top 10.. or actually even top 5, why not

guys in the history section ranking guys who they have never actually seen box before and have been gassed up by what has been on paper.. times have changed

But he fought them while there was some one better to fight: Sugar Shane Mosley.

When Floyd fought Shane, there was nobody better to fight, Shane was the best you can fight at WW division.

At 150[not even a weight class] Pacquiao fought, an absolute nobody, a guy who wasn't even ranked at 154 or 147. He could have fought anyone else at 154, any top 10 guy there, any one better than Margarito, for the vacant WBC title, a damn catchweight.

When he fought Clottey, he could have fought Mosley, when he fought Cotto, he could have either fought Cotto at least at 147, or fight Mosley. Now that he's fighting Mosley in 2011, instead of signing to fight Mosley, he could have fought Berto, or he could have fought Bradley who was willing to come up to 147.

You see the pattern, Pacquiao never fights the best, he fights those who are below the best. If you are the best, he will fight the guy under you.

Or he could have just avoided all of this, and accepted Mayweather's 14 day cut off when they were negotiating with the former judge/mediator guy, where Arum lied that Mayweather never offered a 14 day cut off, then the mdiator said Mayweather did offer a 14 day cut off, then Arum came out and admitted that he lied, it was posted right here on Boxingscene by BPP.

The lying old shit confesses after being put in a corner in 2010 about if Mayweather offered a 14 day cut off or not.

Bob Arum confesses: I blew it on Mayweather-Pacquiao

It’s true, it’s true,” Arum said. “But they knew full well that we would not go for that. I think the real mistake was mine in not saying, “Sign the bout contract, then take your test requirements to the athletic commission.’ I should have said that and, if he signed the contract, I could’ve said go the commission and don’t bother me with this bullspit.”

Where is Johnny Chingas to say "Shoulda woulda coulda, that is the always the ***** argument" well in this case look at all the shoulda's and coulda's Arum says.

Lol I mean, you go to a mediator to try to meet half way on the test requests, Mayweather does just that, Arum says he didn't, then he confesses to lying after he was put on the spot by the mediator! IF the mediator never came out and said Arum was lying, everyone would have believed Mayweather never offered a 14 day cut off, just liked they believe everything else Arum and Pac say

          ^^^^ Agreed with this

I get so pissed off when people compare recent boxers to someone from 60 years ago who there's one grainy 2 minute video of.

Those guys fought much more than boxers these days, but surely if they're fighting every month they won't be able to match a guy from today who might train 10 weeks for a single bout?

          **** is ridiculous

I don't see why people complain so much about the catchweight..

I mean, there were other catchweight title fights and we don't even hear people complain about them

But, it's PACQUIAO, so we must hate

Hell, nothing seemed to be wrong with Hopkins and ODLH fighting at a catchweight or Whitaker vs JCC

PAC may have not fight those guys in the order u want him to but at the end of the day he fought all of the guys u mention and now including Mosley. And he did it in under 3 years.

Well in some cases you gotta look at the type of the losses. Is not just about the loss but how you lose.

But, more importantly you look at performance. The Marg fight, and now the Mosley fight. It's fights that shouldn't of happened at all.

All the other fights were fine were some fighters came off losses but at least performed well enough. Marg and Mosley don't fit that bill.
