I guess, but like you said, he was on a way to a loss. The guy was just staggering all over the damn place and his punches had no mustard on them. I guess you can say the ref prevented any unnecessary punishment leading to an inevitable loss.

A little fast but it was clearly a matter of time Salido wouldn't miss him and he had not hurt Salido once.

At the end there JuanMa's "punches" were nothing more then him slightly moving his dead arms with his gloves at his waist. He was not defending himself.
At first I thought it was way early, but after seeing replay I didn't have a major issue with it. Slightly early? Yes. Horrible and pathetic like Khan-McCloskey? Not even close.

Lopez is probably one of the few guys that I can see on ***** street and know the fight isn't quite over yet. He has some suprisingly strong legs, I still can't believe how he stood up in the mtagwa rounds. Guy has a ton of talent, power, and heart. But just too many glaring holes that need to be fixed, hopefully he comes back improved and focused. I have a small feeling that he didnt train as hard for this fight.

he was still punching back but he's one big punch away from getting ko'ed that could lead to some serious damage so in a way it was good that the ref stopped the fight.
