Before last night,Berto should have been Pacman's next assignment.It's that simple,not Mosley who hasn't won a fight in 2 years.*******s have misinterpreted the entire argument & have made up ****.Not many people really believed that Berto would beat Pacman,but beating Berto would have unified 147 & that would have ended any talk about Pacman beating fighters that have come off recent bad losses.He would have beaten an undefeated black fighter,(though not slick).But all that is over with because Ortiz did what Pacman didn't,(which is take Berto's 0.Taking Berto's 0 is greater than beating a 40 year old Mosley winless in 2 years.That was the argument.Not that Berto actually beats Pacman.

You did mean to type it. And I didn't necessary say that he would trouble Manny and I never said that he would beat Manny. What I have said is that he would be a better opponent than Shane at this point. I mean, Shane just had a draw with SERGIO MORA. Think about that. He would be a younger, faster, fresher opponent, with good power and those things are something Manny hasn't seen in a while. I'd much rather the him beat a Berto (young undefeated champion) than him beat a Mosley. But all is well, because Berto will probably get the Manny fight next, since he just lost.

Really man I'm not trying to flame, just curious thats all. I keep hearing Berto presents different things or stuff Manny hasn't seem, but no one ever breaks it down.

If you feel Berto was the better option....cool. I think both bouts aren't that great but thats just me.

I really wish PWill would have won so atleat we could have a clear cut front runner at WW instead of all the guessing. Again just my opinion....so take it for what its worth.

Dude has no defense, doesn't move his head, doesn't put punches together and I just can't see what he doesn't bring that we haven't seen in a black fighter.

My only guesses are that

1. He is black and undefeated (was)

2. He hugs (can't even call that **** clinching as he does nothing on the inside).

Berto relied too much on one solid punch and expected the other guy to kiss the canvas after that. He gets surprised when Ortiz delivers his solid counters, loses balance, clinches, waits for the referee to break, then looks for another solid punch, rinse and repeat. Meanwhile Ortiz already outpoints him by several miles. Impossible to break with that one-dimensional tactic of his. He's not slick, I agree.
