you won't find any match ever to drop anybody that fast from his cross, and like I said, you won't find anybody that small who basically had to run away just to survive his shots. Jerry, another basically lhw vs. a hw mercer, had to resort to not trading because his weight was too small. He hit Jerry too hard in the first at exactly 1 minute and 23 seconds. Missing from your analysis is the people that shavers hit. They were a lot tougher opponents. And you are talking about two distinct skill sets. Probably the best finisher in boxing heavyweight history is Liston, shavers was not the best finisher. That's different than power potential.

I would say 1 punch ko power is due to a combination of speed and power. A fighter can be a hard, thudding puncher, but not necessarily a ko type puncher. In my years of watching boxing, one punch kos are typically the result of a fast punch.
