I can't explain why Paul isn't liked more he is an all action guy, who wouldn't want to see him but for whatever reason he is not a draw and neither is Cintron so it wouldn't have mattered where they fought.

I wishh Bad Chad was more active too, you are right ppl forget about fighters when they are inactive.

Berto doesn't fight anyone but he is pretty active and his style is boring because he holds alot, those are the only explanations I can give for him not having fans.

Bradley probably wouldn't be willing to go to Alexanders home town and that would be a real shame, because Bradley sadly has very little fan base. He is in no position to negotiate that.

PW should have been building his fansbase in the southeast region where he is from. Not to mention Cintron/Williams should have been in the east coast. Cintron is a pretty well known Puerto Rican, whose fans tend to be on the east coast. Not the West.

Berto has taken too much money from HBO to fight low quality opponents, and is just not active enough. Since his fight with Collazo in January of 2009, he fought only three times. That is just not enough.

None of the fighters on this list have the luxury of huge fan base allowing them to fight only once or twice a year. If you want people to know and see you, well you have to fight.

This is why Winky Wright never became the fighter he could have been.

American boxing fans are some of the most lamest unsupportive fans period and they flip flop on you quick.. When i seen adamek fight arreola the poles were all there from poland with flags and **** and mexicans were there for chris...im sure some americans of polish descent were there too but i wont hold my breath on that because they are too americanized anyway.

Its sad its got to be the black american guy vs another guys country lol....i also hate people use the word black and think its exclusively for african americans only...

People are in the crowd with flags, americans dont do that when an opposition from another country comes in.. The only reason the fmw fight seemed a little patriotic is because ricky hatton was from britain and we know americans and brits have this small rivalry going on

if this lamont peterson is counting on americans or should i say african americans to be out in full force # fail he's better off building an american audience and use nationality over race(black) and ethnicity(african american)
i agree and disagree. Nationality counts but also ethnicity. Cris arreola is american, yet mexican born people support him. Chavez sr. Was mexican, yet he had mexican-american fans. Anglo- americans support anyone that is good, and now african americans are no good, they are boring.

Mexicams are in all sports. Specially the Mexicans from Mexico. Martial arts, diving, car racing ( no blacks), baseball, MMA ( watch out ), gymnastics, and other things that require huevos but not necessarily a sport, lime bullfights, charreria , things that a black person would absolutely never do due to the lack of huevos involved.

so is julio cesar chavez jr., marco antonio rubio, antillon, etc. Sir, mexican and hispanics, including people from spain, come in different colors. Just like italians, arabs, etc. You can tell a white hispanic he´s hispanic, though. I can always tell if a " white " latina is latina and not anglo-germanic. Penelope cruz= white but hispanic. Paris hilton = anglo white.

dont know all about that but african americans are very different from pure africans.....you think you have the balls coz you fight bulls but some of the vids ive seen about africans(pure) are some of the baddest **** ive seen, punking out lions(not bulls) to steal meat leftovers from the pack....that **** is amazing...

It's a bit more complicated then that

I think Peterson is looking at it wrong. Its not just the fans, its the promoters and who has the power. Just like with Devon Alexander and Tim Bradley. They wouldn't let them mow down all the folks they could have, like in all other sports. They could have faught for another 18 months to 2 years and looked great with all the talent at 140, but they were basically forced to fight because of whom promoted whom. People protect their investments because multiple losses are disproportionately damaging to careers in boxing compared to other sports. But if there was a promoter with a strong black stable, with multiple studs in the same weight classes, that could make great fights, blacks would come out.

Tyson got more attention from media when he starting acting a fool cause that **** sold papers and showed people another black man acting a fool. Its not about crossing over. Its about getting a fanbase the correct way and these fighters now a days are not doing that. That is why they have little to know following. Boxers today are not visable. Basketball and Football players go to kids schools and sponsor summer camps for they sports. I have never seen or heard of a boxer going to a school to speak to students or sponsoring a summer camp so kids can learn the basics of boxing. Why do so many people want something for nothing? **** don't work like that!!!!!!

Lets get down to the reality of the situation.

Blacks like to support their own when they are dominating. Black dominance in boxing, is gone. We can also look at baseball as an example. There aren't as many dominating Black players, so the audience has fled.

Now, we can move on over the the NBA and NFL and see Blacks dominating those sports,

and they have the support of Black fans.

Take away the domination factor, and the fans flee.

Look at how many Black people became interested in tennis and golf once a Black was dominating those sports.
