Why not, Ishida's better than everyone thought and he's only been clearly beaten just once a long time ago early in his career. All his other losses could have been wins, I saw three of them and I had him winning including the most recent loss to Canelo's bro. I bet he lasts longer than Dzinzurik and theres a chance he takes Martinez the full 12. Could be a good fight, Martinez wants to keep active at his age so why not. It's not a huge mismatch, unlike Ishida vs Kirkland.

Sounds like he's recently picked up Floyd's manual guide "Staying Undefeated: How to Stay on Top Without Fighting The Best!"

To be honest i have never heard of Ishida. With 6 losses on his record ...his next move should be Lemeiux or Manfredo. I just don't like the match up with Martinez. He's moving up to quick.
Martinez should be fighting the best names out their... Cotto, Chavez Jr, Angulo, Sturm.

I'm aboxing fan. Everyday, I surf the net to find out what's the latest. Sergio is one fighter I do follow with a lot of interest and today, I had to ask myself 'What's going on with Martinez'? "Why do I have to google who the 'F" is Ishida? This doesn't go along with someone who is trying to become the No.1 P4P fighter in the world. Fighting someone whom you have to do research just to get a glimpse of an idea is not a practice by a fighter who is suppose to be considered one of the best. Sergio ain't that big to be cherry picking at this stage of his career. Who's gonna pay to see a Martinez-Ishida fight? 23-6 (8 KO's) to me is less than a 'B' fighter! Even if Sergio wins this fight in the first round by KO, I'm taking him off my P4P list. What a shame!
