Morales is a true Mexican warrior

I know there are a few threads about this but I had to say this. To those of you that think Maidana respected him to much or just had a bad night, *** YOU....

Morales IMO got a draw last night. He landed the higher percentage shots, harder shots hurting Maidana on at least 2 occasions and was never hurt by Maidana.

Maidana threw a lot more punches but Morales just dictated the pace and distance in that fight.

I ***in love Morales and the dude is a true legend. In his prime he would have destroyed Maidana and anyone in the 140lb division right now.

Take the Mexican part out and just put "WARRIOR" cause if he was black, asian, russian, rican or american he'd still be that.. A Warrior. I didn't think Morales had a chance but he showed some savvy veteran skills and suprised the hell out of me when he threw those combos off the ropes. i agree with both posts, War Morales!!!!

Man what a shell of the fighter he once was, i felt bad to tell u the truth, cuz just 5 years ago, this woukld've been a massacre for Maidana.....

In the post fight interview when they asked him how he felt about the loss, he chuckled and said "i didn't loose, I beat him" i nodded in agreement on my couch....

Realistically it should've been a draw though....

And also Maidana is a bum, there's no question about it, D level boxer at best....

Morales is just a special breed, man.

I never ever expected it to go past 6 rounds, let alone go the whole 12. Let alone think that he won the fight!

I loved Morales through the 90's and wathced all of his fights but last night I expected the worst and he proved me wrong.

Morales is just a great great fighter.

agreed except for that a prime morales was over 14 lbs lighter

the most admirable thing about morales last night were the guts he showed, he never shied away from fighting in close with a monstrous puncher like maidana and always punched right back whenever he got hit just like he did when he fought pac the first time and in those fights with barrera

You should be proud.. In the last decade Morales has given us some memorable fights. I'm just glad to say I was around during his time. He makes me proud to be a boxing fan. I even had my wife rooting for him after telling him a little about his past. She's a fan of El Terrible now


and I c/s figuzi(spellcheck) 5 years ago, Morales would've been standing over Maidana talking mad **** while Maidana lays on his ass and gets counted out. I really hope the rematch takes place soon cause you know Morales will be motivated to get in better condition.
