Morales IS shot. Its just that Maidana was a perfect style matchup for him, thats why he specifically took the fight. lets not forget Maidana also struggled against a shot Corley as well.

I hate it when fans try to give their fighter credit for another man's "victory".

I definitely give Pacquiao a little more credit than I did because if an overweight shot to all hell Morales gives a fighter like Maidana that kind of fight, then he was definitely better 5 years ago.

So what is the argument? That Morales looked good against Maidana therefor wasn't shot to pieces?

Corley is shot to pieces and arguably beat Maidana like 9 months ago.
So there goes that theory.

Morales wasn't shot against Pac in the first fight. But, he wasn't the same Morales either, he wasn't prime. That is why Pac was the big favorite going into the fight. That was quite an upset actually.

I have no beef with the 2nd Pac-Morales fight. It was OK. Just because I understand wanting to avenge a loss.

The 3rd fight by that time yes Morales was shot. And, very well likely weight-drained as well. And, team Pac knew Morales was having a lot of trouble making 130. That's why team Pac WENT AGAINST COMMISSION RULES AND DEMANDED THEIR OWN WEIGHT PENALTY. There was no reason to demand such a penalty because Morales had never failed to make weight. But, team Pac knew that Morales could not really make 130 anymore so they insistent on a severe penalty just in case. Damn near forcing Morales to drain himself.

Fact is the 3rd fight should have never happened period. It was a waste of time.

And, Pac is greater than Morales. Is really not even close.

i could see that.....but then we surely have to give Mayweather mad props for smashing Corley toe to toe for 9 of the 12 rds. After all a shot Corley arguably beat Maidana. The Corley Floyd fought must have been some kind of monster.............LOL.

Nope, Maidana, Khan, Alexander and Ortiz are all overrated. All have great potential but are flawed in some way or another.

I'm a Morales fan before I'm a Pacquiao fan....event rooted for Morales in all three bouts.

Morales wasn't shot in the first two bouts.....no shot fighter puts on those type of performances. Was he at his absolute best.....well obviously not, as 122-126 is where he was peaking at. Still he was a top 3 fighter in his division and Manny got full credit from me, with no excuses, when he beat Morales.

I thought the third bout was unnecessary, but I hate it when people bring up Morales being drained when that was his fought not Manny's. Dude like to party and was starting to balloon up in between fights.

How and why that was Manny's problem is beyond me and if, as a huge Morales fan, I'm not making excuses,

Gloves make a huge difference too. Pac Morales 1 they were using winning gloves... Against Maidana they were using the same gloves... I would have put my money on Maidana if they used Cletos or Everlast mx gloves.

Maidana is a bit overated, as is Amir Khan. A lot of peeps at 140 are overrated. They are just good, but non are great. Thats why Morales, who probably also trained his ass off for this fight, did as good as he did. Morales in his prime is a GREAT fighter. At 140 and making a comeback, he's a "good" fighter.

him losing to pac at 130 was probably a combination of him just realizing that Pacquiao was simply to hungry to lose at that point.
