It would be a great win for him no doubt

He was a great fighter before and he would be a great fighter after.

Manny is the #1 ranked p4p fighter in the forworld and he has been for years now. He's a sure bet hall of famer, an all time great and the fighter of the decade.

Defeating Bradley should be business as usual for a fighter of his caliber. He gets no additional props from me nor will it change my opinion of him. I'm not giving props to a fighter for doing something he's supposed to do.

Great win over a game oppent with good boxing ability

I'd think even better of him if he did that..I think he will personally I think he's focused and knows he had to look good if he wants that mayweather fight..

The reasons given for this being that Pacquiao has fought sub-par competition (either because they're past their prime, made to order, or at a catch-weight), might be slipping, has trouble with technical boxers, etc. and that Bradley is an undefeated and under-appreciated beast.

So the hypothetical question of this(posed mostly to those who think Bradley will win the fight): what will you think of Pacquiao if he actually beats Bradley convincingly? Either by KO or decision, if Pacquiao leaves no doubts as to who won, would that mean you were wrong about him, or does it simply mean you misjudged Bradley? I'm curious because I see most people acting like Bradley's definitely going to win this fight (I consider it a tossup, basically, with an edge to Pacquiao sort of dependent on which Pacquiao shows up) and I want to know what the reaction will be if Tim gets steamrolled.

              Thoughts?
              Let's face it:

Pacquiao is supposed to beat Bradley. Bradley just happens to have a unbeaten record, but his best win comes over Alexander. This fight is meant to make Pacquiao look good because he so badly needs good press after 3 lackluster, surprisingly dismal outings for Manny.

Nothing that Bradley has done thus far has given anyone the notion that he will win. That isn't to say that he cannot win. Only that Bradley is a long shot for a reason. He hasn't ever proven that he could hang with someone that ****s like Pacquiao.

If Pacquiao wants to show the world that he is elite, he should be fighting Ortiz or Cotto at the same weight that Floyd did. All the hoopla about Pacquiao beating Floyd's opponents better than Floyd is a load of crap. You can't drain and then tame young lions. That's playing with a loaded deck. Manny should admit that he cannot let WWs fight at their own comfortable weight on fight night.

This latest move fighting jrWW Bradley doesn't help Pacquiao's cause because Bradley has virtually done nothing against an array of C level fighters. I don't care if its a 1st round KO. Pacquiao should have made a fight with Mike Jones a WW. At least Jones is a legit WW. He also undefeated. He also seems like he has a style and enough power to give Pacquiao a serious problem.

They picked Bradley for a reason. There are no coincidences.

Though I agree with much of what you said, Bradley is a much greater threat than Mike Jones......you mentioned Tim has beat an array of C level fighters but Jones has fought much worse opposition.....

I've said from the beginning, and you can make a note this, Bradley has no chance at beating Pac... For me the scale goes from Expected/Nothing special = Pac wins a dominate decision or KO... to WOW BRADLEY/Pac should retire = Bradley either wins (he's not stopping Manny) or look really really good in defeated (possible robbery)

A dominate Pac will not impress me personally, and a struggle will have me :smh:

The problem with your analysis is that you demand Manny to fight Floyd's opponents at the weights that Floyd fought them but fail to concede that Manny will never be as big as Floyd. Manny has never made 147 and has been giving away a few pounds at the scale whenever he fights at Welterweight. His fight with Bradley is at 147 but I guarantee that neither will weigh in at the maximum. So, why would he give away over 7 lbs by campaigning at 154?
Floyd tried 154 twice and on both occaisions he looked less than stellar. Imagine
how it would affect Pacquiao considering that he'd be coming from a much smaller size.

Floyd himself has taken advantage of his bargaining power to negotiate terms in his favor. In fact, it seems that his terms Marquez seems to be the most eggregious exploitation in recent memory. You seem to forget that he bloated Marquez seven pounds and still came in 4 lbs over the agreed weight and he didn't make any attempt to lose any of it. Now, that's stacking the deck for you right there. He also fought Oscar at a lower catch weight since you like talking about those. Pacquiao and Floyd both do it and so have many in history. To call out one without calling out the other is just plain nuthuggery.

As for the Bradley fight, it will be a great win for Manny. Most impressive since Cotto and definitely the best fight that he could get outside of Floyd and JMM. Haters are already hedging right now by discrediting Bradley just incase Manny looks impressive.
