    Probably 175ish.

Either way, I expected more. Not a good sign. I thought Mayorga promoted the fight well and I thought lots of people were interested. Maybe more people were interested in streaming this one, like I did. Also didn't help free HBO fight (curious about the ratings for that) at the same time.
Oscar got that number from Dan Rafael, who said his first source gave him that figure. This was before Dan got the numbers from Top Rank.

Not so fast man... the final figure hasn't come in yet... besides 250k is not bad considering it was only Cotto selling the fight.

And 200k is pretty damn good if your name isn't Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather Jr IMO.
I wouldn't say that... Cotto/Marg did 500k, granted Mayorga doesn't really have a fan base to speak of and he isn't Mexican. 250k isn't that great, but its a decent number considering who the opponent was and the fact that HBO had a free card that night as well. That being said I had 15 people over for this fight, and most times when people order a PPV they don't watch it solo.

Such a great draw that Cotto is makes this much PPVs??? For what his stans make him out to be, I'd figured he would do around 650k+.

I was under the impression that Marg/Cotto did around 300k. In that case, 200k is a huge downgrade for Cotto and it proves he is losing a lot of star power steam.

I'm not sure if having the PPV on Showtime had any effect since they weren't advertised on CBS like Pac-Mosley.

Has Margarito ever headlined a PPV? Oh thats right he did and 17,000 people bought it.

And while I think Cotto's image did take a hit from the beating of Manny, its actually the same drop off Manny had vs Clottey. He went from 1.25 with Cotto to only 700k with Clottey... damn Manny lost almost 600k with that downgrade. Mayorga has never been a big draw anyway, I wouldn't call it a let down or a great success either. It was like the fight, decent.
