Depends.. if Ortiz shows heart and guts it out even in a loss.. he will be rewarded with more fights. If he wins he gets bigger paydays. It's a win/win for Ortiz.. people have been shiiittin on him since the Maidana fight.

I liked Marvin Haglers approach, if you beat him, he came back and beat you worse in a rematch. (unless you're retire sugar ray style)
This day and age, if you're not undefeated or have any loses that didn't occur very early in your career when you were weight drained or some crap, then you're a bum/done/wannabe
With that thought, I think this doesn't really apply to ortiz, its not that he has lost, its how he lost, and the timid way he's fought since. Like he's holding back and maybe a little scared. He was overwhelming, and a powerhouse, and looked like the next big thing, and someone stood up to him and then he quit. Now he tries to box, and looks solid, but doesn't seem to have the kill in him anymore. so its not so much about him having more losses, so much as him not being able to compete on the higher level with the furiousity that got him to that point to begin with.Last edited by DIB42; 03-17-2011, 02:54 PM.
