To me 500K sounds reasonable for donaire at the moment. He deserves something for what he did to Montiel. 350K for Moreno though is a bit too high. For the most part he's still a relatively unknown commodity. If I were him I wouldn't hesitate taking the 350K since in all honesty he should be getting around 200K.

in defense of him , he's only asking for that much because he doesn't really want the fight. he knows he's gonna get his ass kicked so he might as well get paid a lot.

man........
mr. marcial is smoking dope if he thinks he's not getting paid enough.
i got no problem with a man asking for more money. if he can get it , more power to him. i believe everyone should try to get as much money as they can.
but 7 figures per fight? for a bantamweight?
to put it in perspective HBO World Championship Boxing offered $750k total purse for pac-jmm 2 in the immediate rematch of their 1st fight at 126.
$750k total for both fighters to split.
now is nonito even as big a draw as that 2004-2005 pacquiao?
You got it wrong Tua, the split was $750k EACH, but Marquez wanted the $1.5M for himself, and since he's good at numbers (I heard/read that he's an accountant), he gave up his belt for a hefty sum of $32,500...

but that's still not 7 figures.
and pac-jmm 2 is a bigger fight than anything on the horizon for nonito.
at least until he gets to 126 against lopez.

I do agree that Donaire is in no place to be receiving 7 figure paydays as of right now. But I'm sure if he keeps winning he'll reach that mark sooner rather than later. I also think his popularity and recognition is being helped by the simple fact that he's in Pacquiao's time. When people see Donaire I'm sure their first thought is could he be the next Pacquiao, hence why he's garnered more interest than fighters like Juanma Lopez and such.

you know pacquiao didn't even make 7 figures 'til the morales ppv fights?
he got paid $500k for barrera 1 and $750k for marquez 1.
and there's no morales or barrera for nonito in the future.
the closest is lopez at 126 and he's not even close to morales or barrera.

And the irony of it was that he LOST. He must have felt like the biggest moron afterward.

Sorry to burst your bubble again pare, but Murad Muhammad got half of the coins on both fights. You didn't get to see his new set of chompers after those 2 fights?
