I don't know if I spelled his name right, nor do I care. It doesn't really matter at this point because we'll never see this guy again. Yeah, there's no shame in losing to Martinez, but what is this guy even doing in the same ring as Sergio? That's robbing fans of money.
The point is I'm tired of these Euro/Western Asian trash fighters with inflated records coasting along trying to make some easy money and avoiding big names until they're ready to cash out. He's in his mid 30s, so yeah, he probably doesn't feel like boxing anymore. So he took one shot at the end of his career and got completely embarrassed. On the other hand, you have guys like Martinez and Winky Wright who have been actively trying to get big names their whole career, FORCED to fight in ****ty Europe just to make some form of money whatsoever.
I have no respect for guys like Dzinzurik, Sturm and especially Calzaghe hiding in Europe until they realize their careers are over before they take a shot at a meaningful fight. You can always make money in Europe, but you can't build a really strong legacy when you're in your late 30s.
Calzaghe's best wins = 43 year old Hopkins, Mikkel Kessler (who was much more dominated by Andre Ward) and a shot Roy Jones Jr. If that is a legacy, then Hatton must be considered a god in Britain.
