I saw highlights of Dzinziruk on Youtube and was honestly never impressed with the guy. I basically knew he wasn't all that good. I'm not trying to go out of my way to discredit Sergio's win, but people need to face the facts. The guy's best wins to date were against an old Daniel Santos and Joel Julio (Who Kirkland, Angulo, and even Quintana for crying out loud beat more impressively).
Now having said all this, I for the life of me can't understand why he was shoved down our throats by HBO as a worthy opponent for Sergio Martinez. You look at the Middleweight landscape right now, and there are plenty of good fighters (European or not) that would've been a tougher challenge. The ones off the top of my head are Golovkin, Pirog, and then you have Kirkland and Fernando Guerrero. I know the latter two need some more fights. But why isn't HBO trying to match Sergio up with those other two guys? And WTF is this shit of Martinez calling out guys like Cotto, Floyd, and Pac? People also need to raise issue with that too.
