Cintron D (We all know Martinez won this fight, so for the sake of the argument consider this a win for him.)

I know lots of you will disagree, especially the day after the fight, but I don't think Martinez's recent track record is really much more impressive than Pacquiao's, if it is more impressive at all. No denying that those last two KO wins are highly impressive, but not a lot more so than Hatton and Cotto. People talk about Pac's opponents being washed up or having their soul taken, but Pavlik fits that to a tee as well. Clottey and Cintron are the same win. So are Margarito and Pavlik IMO.

Just saying, I know people are overreacting but take an objective look. If you disagree and think Martinez's recent record is more impressive, I can't say you are wrong but it's not that much better IMO. If Martinez gets another win like his last two over a comparable opponent, and Pacquiao fights another sham fight, then I'll definitely be moving Sergio up. Thoughts?
I think Pac is right where he belongs at the top of the sport,he is fighting every chance he get's..He is dominating good opponents and has fought almost every top 5 WW were Floyd really has'int..My rankings see Pac at 1.Martinez at 2.and May at 3...May has not fought in a really long time too long imo..

The only thing that can take Pac out that num 1. spot for me would be a lost tbh...

      This is pretty true...

So an alcoholic Kelly Pavlik who was just dominated by Hopkins and a blown up welterweight Paul Williams who already beat Martinez and some guy you never heard of who never fought a meaningful fight at MW (or anywhere else really) who is 35 years old and inactive is better opposition on the upside?

        Ok, I'm sold. Martinez P4P #1

Since when is it a crime to lose to a living legend(B-Hop)Pwilly lost that fight to Quintana when he was young and on the come up..Martinez seen a much better Pwilly then Quintana did..Pav only has two loses and there were plenty of posters on here willing to bet that Pav beat Martinez..IMO Martinez is not num 1 I'd put him num 2 with Pac before him..But I would not downplay what Martinez has done in his short career it's been most impressive..

I agree w/ everything you've said. Just using these clowns' own 'logic' against them.

If Margarito losing to HOFer Mosley means he's automatically shot, then the same goes for Pavlik losing to HOFer Bernard Hopkins, right? (again, just using the 'logic' employed in these parts)

Pac is p4p number 1 & there's nothing you disgusting *****s can do about.

You can "PRETEND" to nuthug donaire, martinez or any other boxer who is close in the p4p rankings but at the end of the day,

Pac is p4p 1# according to boxing writers & analysts who most likely went to college & get paid for their boxing opinions.

WTF? Are you a moron? Do you even know what P4P stands for?

It means theoretically, if Pacquiao was 5"10, 158lbs, with the same speed, skill, etc. How would he fare against Martinez.

yeah pavlik had been dominated a few fights earlier 2 weight classes above middle. the same could be said of hatton when pac beat him he didnt look world class after floyd whipped him 1 weight class above. but hatton was the man in his division like pavlik was in his division only pavlik was a year ago and hatton was 2 years ago. then martinez goes on to ko former p4per williams who did come back and beat beat quintana right after the loss. the fights a top ten jr middle weight coming from the weight class that sergio just recently came from undefeated never knocked down. you know bob arum wont let jccj around martinez because he doesnt let his fighters fight legit competition anymore. pacquiaos last fights margacheato busted for wraps whichs seriously leaves his entire career in question not to mention he was ko' by old mosley then takes a year off then gets taken the distance by cab driver garcia. but you *******s spin it like its the margo that just dismantled cotto. and then their is clottey who you tards seriously overates he chokes at the world class level everytime. now hes fighting old ass mosley fresh off of a mayweather ass whippin and a mora draw. what you guys never seem to understand is the timing in which pac fights his notable named opponents. you guys live in an imaginaryy world where pac beat cotto fresh off the judah ko victory, the marg fresh off the cotto ko, the hatton fresh off the tzyu ko, and make believe that dave diaz was the man at light weight. your only argument is that pac atg status is much higher than martinez which it is but p4p pacs fighting has beens on the decline.
