I think GBP gives us good fights unintentionally. GBP introduce us to exciting fighters like Pirog and Maidana but it was not part of their plan. It's just GBP don't know how to manage their young fighters correctly. It's not in their best interests.

Lol GBP are supposed to be this company that's supposedly monopolizing the sport of boxing and they're supposedly the bad guys when in fact they're the one's who are not greedy and are willing and able to work with different promoters to give us fans the best fights.They don't care about having full promotions of fights, they happily co-promote with Dibella, Shaw, and even lesser known promotional companies.

Firstly let'S see If GBP still work was small promotion fights when they don't have a guranteed HBO date and guranteed HBo money.

think about it... why make berto/ortiz? answer: ortiz is a sacrificial lamb. they throw ortiz to berto to set up a future fight between berto and their other fighters, thus keeping berto away from pac.

why make bradley/khan before khan has even mccloskey? pac will never fight khan, but pac can fight bradley. but since arum has made news saying that he'd welcome bradley to top rank, gbp is trying to keep bradley with shaw and enticing him with khan so that pac doesn't have any opponents other than 2 guys that GBP promote: wifebeater and jmm.

a sanctioning body can demand anything. if gbp didnt take a chance on the fight on the first fight, there wouldnt be a second one.

the khan/mc closley fight isnt a gbp fight, its a team khan britain fight.

This is probably closer to the truth, they seem to do a very poor job of protecting bad investments while Arum is old and has been doing this a while so he is great at it.

They are good cards because they are risky for the fighters, fans win but no way GBP expected Pirog to take the WBO strap back to Russia or for Maidana to take that paper interim WBA title to Argentina. I think they are very poor match makers in terms of building upon fighters they are investing in.....but its a good thing for fans like I said.

As for the Khan fight, GBP negotiated it, even SAhhaeffer said that Mcklowseky took it, while Peterson team said no, and Shhaefer said it was good money to peterson too.

I said those fighters are fighting because it is a damn tournament. Winner face each other, loser face each other etc... so of course the fight was going to happen because that is how the toruney is duh.
