Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley: More Than Just A Fight

By Ryan ******** - As Manny Pacquiao casually inspects a Carnegie Deli-catered turkey sandwich in the New York Daily News conference room, a group comprised of some of New York City’s most influential sports journalists inspect his every movement and mannerism. The atmosphere is tranquil, calm, the antithesis of the chaotic scenery just an hour ago at the Chelsea Piers press conference.

In the city that breathes the Yankees, Knicks and Giants, there could scarcely be a bigger sports star in town than the eight-division champion from General Santos City, Philippines. Though he will never fight in the Big Apple due to state tax concerns, the big city's media can’t help but be fascinated by Pacquiao. [Click Here To Read More]

It is like what I said about Cotto. Why fight Judah who had lost to Spinks, Baldomir and Mayweather already? Why fight Mosley who had lost to Winky and Forrest twice each? Then go and fight bums like Gomez and then Jennings who never fought outside of the UK...then fight Clottey who had already lost Margarito.

Now he fights Mayorga who Mosley, Tito and Oscar already knocked out along with others.

Cotto needs to step his game up. No more 40 year old chain smokers and rabbis for opponents.

RS is writing puff pieces now!?
I knew this shyt would happen. Cong**** on getting a gig at a big paper but now u will get the same respect as RN and MM! These guys aint journalists, they are low paid PR people.

This fight aint BS becuz they are possibly getting mainstream exposure? GTFOH!

Where are the tough questions that make TR and Pacq explain their BS matchmaking that is really making the sport look bad and fostering an environment of acceptable BS mismatches? We will never get it from these hacks who have no other talent than to kiss azz and play along!

Because the best fight the best. Ducking someone just because they have a loss on their record makes u a pu$$y. Ali lost, Ray Robinson lost, just cause u loose doesn't mean ur trash, it means u lost a fight. Any one of those guys u mentioned would either be a pick'em against berto or the outright favorite, and he's never lost. Being undefeated doesn't hold as much water as u claim, and having a loss doesn't mean **** in boxing or any other sport. Some times ur gonna loose, either an off night, an injury, or just a bad style match up.

I think Shane will look better in this fight than he did against PBF, but if he doesn't come out a little more polished and leaves himself open, Pac will have his way. When he fought Mayweather, his legs looked completely gone by the 5th and that was with a workrate that is well below what Pac is going to bring. I like Shane, but I have to pull for Pac to win so we can still dream on about Manny growing a pair and stepping up to fight PBF.

So Mosley shows absolutely no fear from Manny. Unlike the other guy.

cause cotto/clottey was a close fight that some people thought clottey won. so to remove all doubt he whupped clottey after he ****d cotto.
