There may be more to it than just money, u neve know whats going on behind the scenes, but it does look like the Khans are being cheap
I don't think a word from Naz will help. He's still as ****y and washed up as he always was.

Oscar is an excellent support system for young boxers. He doesn't get into trouble and he's successful. I'mm sure he'd have good advice on how to play the game. He makes GBP that bit more reliable.

I dunno its all very weird.

Looks like the Khan team are just being cheap snakey ****s

I cant stand Ariza tho, the guy is just an attention whore i mean he's only the conditioner NOT the fighter and NOT the trainer! He does seem to do an excellent job tho and if everything is legit (no gear) then Amir has made a mistake letting him go

i think Khan & Ariza situation is a mess and the best thing they can do for Amir & Alex is to walk away from this and sort out the details in private.
Khan needs to pay the man...even if he didnt have a contract with him, Khan did give Ariza a lot of credit for the way he was training him....If they are prepared to pay Peterson 300K they should find the money to pay for a service they have already had....EVEN if they feel like they have been bent over a barrell by Ariza and shafted by him...pay him and move on and act the bigger man.

Khan is a nice kid, he's pretty humble and talks just like the average man on the street. His family have grown the Ego which has overtaken Khan's....they are where I see his problem, his family trying to save pennies at every corner when they should be looking at the bigger picture where it's not just pennies, but millions of pounds....Naz set the blueprint that Khan is starting to follow on how to let your family take over a boxers career instead of real boxing management and break it...Khan doesnt need to follow that blueprint!

          good post.

This post is spot on. I'm from an Asian family and it's true that Amir will not sack his dad or Vali. Blood is thicker than water and it would embarras and disrespect his father and in the Asian community (as I'm sure it is in others) this is a very very serious thing to do. Amir would come across as selfish and ungrateful.

Sacking them would be the right thing but he won't do it.

doesnt need to sack them, just have a strong, quiet word that hes not happy with the penny pinching and him becoming the best boxer he can be whilst making millions in the long term is the main priority.

I want to know WHY he has been fired. I want the truth.

Amir is saying its cos he thinks he was overtrained for the Maidana fight. I don't get that. It doesn't make sense to me, but I guess I haven't been overtrained. Still Khan won and he was complimented on his conditioning and gave props to Ariza for conditioning him post-fight.

I just wanna know how much input HAVE his family had into this sacking. And whats going on with the contracts and IS Ariza telling the truth on that?

And Alex Ariza i still working at the Wild Card gym according to Freddie Roach and Manny askked him to go to the Phillipines ot train the Olympic team:

He talks about the situation from 1:40. What he says conflicts with what Amir said on tv, the Khan family story. Freddie says the contract is between Ariza and the individual fighter. He also says its all sorted out now. But now I'm worried cos this means Team Khan were lying and they have got rid of a top conditioning coach on a whim. Who knows hw good he is? Lets not talk about shakes lets talk about swimming, building up Khan's legs, Ariza helped build that body and get him out of bed. I really would like to know Khan's reasons for firing Ariza. It is more than likely that he is annoying, but annoying can be good to learn discipline from.

Again, its beginning to look like Amir has an overbearing father that takes far too much interest in his son's business. I guess he sees boxing as a family business and its beginning to take its toll. How much further would Rock have got without Paulie as his manager?

On the other hand, Ariza must have some proof his contracts were stolen. There must be something else. Whats going on?
team khan are a bunch of cheap bastards. that's all there is to it.
