Ariza vs The Khans: What to make of it?

To begin with it seems Manny Pacquiao has NOT fired Ariza and that the rumour he is, is just that, until we hear from Manny.

And Alex Ariza i still working at the Wild Card gym according to Freddie Roach and Manny askked him to go to the Phillipines ot train the Olympic team:

He talks about the situation from 1:40. What he says conflicts with what Amir said on tv, the Khan family story. Freddie says the contract is between Ariza and the individual fighter. He also says its all sorted out now. But now I'm worried cos this means Team Khan were lying and they have got rid of a top conditioning coach on a whim. Who knows hw good he is? Lets not talk about shakes lets talk about swimming, building up Khan's legs, Ariza helped build that body and get him out of bed. I really would like to know Khan's reasons for firing Ariza. It is more than likely that he is annoying, but annoying can be good to learn discipline from.

Again, its beginning to look like Amir has an overbearing father that takes far too much interest in his son's business. I guess he sees boxing as a family business and its beginning to take its toll. How much further would Rock have got without Paulie as his manager?

On the other hand, Ariza must have some proof his contracts were stolen. There must be something else. Whats going on?

    my opinion?

    and i'm a khan fan.

his team is cheap. ariza makes pretty good money i think and they didn't want to pay him. which is a shame because he's done well with khan.

and of course they're lying about the contracts with ariza. ariza doesn't work for roach , he works with roach. same as it is with manny.

as far as the manny dropping khan rumors , i have heard nothing about that aside from that lame tabloid type article with diaz talking crap (he and ariza doesn't get along)

that article also tried to claim the 24/7 episode where manny was making fun of ariza in the limo as evidence. so you know it's pretty lame and grasping at straws.

i'll believe manny is dropping ariza if we read it from another source and not just that same lame article or quoting that lame article.

I don't blame Khan for wanting to distance himself from that child ******er look-a-like. The guy's a straight up creep and a dirtbag who does more to steal his fighters limelight then he does to get them into shape.

I'm one of the biggest Khan fans on here, probably second only to Wazaa, but I have to say that Team Khan are being bItches. I can't defend them breaking into Ariza's room and stealing his contracts. They even admitted to doing it.

They are ******s so surely their hands should be severed for stealing (I mean that in the least racist way possible btw).

Amir is not at fault here, his relationship with Ariza is still good but due to his family and Ariza not getting along he's had to drop him as his conditioning coach. Khan's career could suffer from this because I believe Ariza has had a massive part in Khan's punch resistance improving.

Amir is innocent in all of this but his dad and manager are d*icks. Ariza is only sticking up for himself. He's out of pocket and is owed money by Team Khan. Moreover, his contracts for Manny and JCC Jr have also been stolen.

          Shame on you Team Khan.

Khans not a 17 year old kid with a silver medal d****d around his neck anymore, he's a fully grown man. if he thinks his family are harming his career in any way, he should tell them to back of.

His family are more to blame than he is, but to say he's completley innocent is a stretch. He needs to man up.

He comes from a Pakistani family which tell me there is noway he would say anything to his father unless he gets desperate. There are some rare cases in which some stand up and be "a man" but mostly not.

Not trying to be a racist here, just good friends with many Pakistani lads and know how they think and go about their business. Team Khan will always be Shah and Vali. It's unfortunate, they will be his downfall.

Amir's conditioning has come on leaps and bounds since working with Ariza. There is no way the old pre Wild Card Khan would have held up under the Maidana barage and that is down to the improvement in conditioning. Ariza and Amir seemed to get on really well and the results show a working winning team.
The rift with Ariza is down to money and it is very clear Team Khan control the finances and Amir has very little to do with it. My guess is that Team Khan screwed Ariza and he did not stand for it. They seem to screw everyone so it fits the pattern.
The big ? is how this will effect Amir's career. If Ariza is still working with Pacman things are going to be weird atmosphere wise at the wild Card gym. There is no question Manny is a physical phenom and this is down to conditioning. there is no question Ariza is good at his job.

Of course he needs to man up but again he's 24 years old.

A lot of growing up happens at that age and well he's going to need to do that. I think Oscar is probably the best person for him to speak to.

If I remember right Oscar had something with his family training him?

And on the Pakistani thing, they have very common family values to Catholics.

yeah Oscar could have a word if he hasnt already. Or maybe even Naz (but he probably doesnt even regret the way his career went knowing him)

There may be more to it than just money, u neve know whats going on behind the scenes, but it does look like the Khans are being cheap
