All the excuses in the world not to fight Prescott. Khan needs to stop chasing the money and redeem his legacy. Beating Prescott is the only way. Everybody knows khan fought everybody except the guy thats got his number, so it seems. As long as Khan doesn't fight Prescott, his career will be looked at as cherry-picked.
Overall, Khan has to avenge his loss to Prescott if he is to become a star. Knife Prescott beat Butter Khan in less than a round. Prescott is the monkey on Khan's back.
Peterson or McCloskey would be a far better tune-up. They both have real skills, as Bradley does, so as preparation for a Bradley fight, they would both be meaningful tune-ups. Prescott wouldn't.

You obviously don't follow boxing. Prescott may have had the number of a pre-Roach Khan, but Maidana is both a harder puncher and a far better fighter than Prescott, and Khan beat Maidana, so only a totally irrational hater or someone who knows absolutely nothing about boxing would give Prescott a one in a million chance of beating Khan now, especially after Prescott lost every round of his fight with Kevin Mitchell, who is a feather-fisted bum.
Amir really should fight him if hes gonna make statements like this. He is right though, all the same people who are screaming for him to rematch Prescott would immediately discredit the victory if Khan were to beat him.
Either way, I would've preferred Prescott to McCloskey. McCloskey is a better boxer but Prescott would've been more significant.
I've already got my excuse lined up because I'm not giving a Prescott a chance to begin with. It'd be nice for Khan to avenge his only loss, but it's not like Prescott is relevant anymore.
Khan's been on a hot streak against decent opposition and making a name for himself (as well as becoming a better-rounded fighter). This is as if Cotto would've lost a fight against Urkal, went on to beat Judah, Mosley, and Gomez...and then decided to go back to avenge his defeat Urkal even though Urkal hasn'd done anything big as of lately.
Khan should just move along and fight someone else because as it stands right now, there is no doubt in my mind he beats Prescott at this point. It's ridiculous. No credit for this win whatsoever. It's NOT a big deal.
doesnt matter if prescott never wins another fight in his life, HE KNOCKED KHAN THE **** OUT...period, bottom line, end of story, any real "champion" would love the opportunity to avenge that loss, i mean come on man the guy shredded him in 54 seconds, plus hes gonna fight MCclosky , do u give him any credit for that ?? if u do, tell me who da **** is MCclosky. he should fight prescott, no other way around it.
If Khan beats Bradley he'll be a big star whether you like it or not.
Do you think Pacquiao has to avenge his losses to Torrecampo and Singsurat if he is to become a star??
You're comparing a ****y starving kid that was a nobody at the time to an Olympic boxer that probably had millions in endorsements even then, when he lost to Prescott. That Prescott loss is still fresh on people's memories.
He'll be a big star if he beats Bradley(He's already a star in his own country I guess right now), but he's still a punk. And in no way do I think he's improved his star image enough like Pacquiao did in order to be looking over people.

Rubbish - when Pacquiao lost to Singsurat he was already a world title holder who had achieved infinitely more as a pro than Khan had when he lost to Prescott. And your characterisation of him as starving, when he had been a pro for four years by then, and was a world title holder with two successful defences, is ridiculous. He had a very deprived childhood, but was not deprived when he lost to Singsurat.
The Olympic silver medal is irrelevant. Khan has done nothing as a pro back then - and a lot of Olympic medilists fail as pros - but he has achieved a lot and improved out of all recognition since then, under Roach's tuition - whereas Prescott has become a bum since then, who is nowhere near the level Singsurat's was on.
If Khan needs to rematch Prescott then Pacquiao needs to rematch Singsurat, end of story. Your inconsistency just shows you up as a hater.
And Duran never bothered to rematch Kirkland Laing. Tyson never bothered to rematch Buster Douglas. Why? Because after those wins Laing and Douglas both quickly deteriorated to the point where they became bums, and Duran and Tyson wouldn't have been given any credit for beating them. Exactly the same situation Khan is in now. Everyone knows Khan would outbox Prescott from the outside in and win every round in an easy but boring win, similar to the way Mitchell beat him, and that he'd be given no credit for the win whatsoever.
