Devon Alexander vs. Lamont Peterson

I'm impressed with Lamont's inside fighting skills. If you guys watch his fight with Bradley, Tim was forced to fight outside because he couldn't handle Lamont's inside game. Even in the Ortiz fight he was mugging Ortiz on the inside. If only he would try to get inside his opponent kind of like Andre Ward he'll be very hard to beat. Lamont has potential, maybe not superstar potential.

Devon Alexander hits much harder than Victor Ortiz. He is also faster and has better accuracy in his punches. Alexander's defense is much better than Ortiz as well. Additionally, Alexander has far better courage than Ortiz.

I think Lamont Peterson would a good comeback win for Alexander.

If anything, those stats above do not do Ortiz's punching power justice. He's the 3rd hardest puncher in the division (behind Maidana and Matthysse):

1) Maidana
2) Matthyyse
3) Ortiz
4) Khan

Now if you combine his power with his speed then he's probably the 2nd most "dangerous" puncher in the division:

1) Khan (Good power, lightning fast hand-speed -- possibly fastest P4P fighter in the world, great combos)

2) Ortiz (Good power, and fast hand-speed, southpaw)

3) Maidana (Excellent power, applies great pressure, good chin and heart means he's always coming forward and can take 2 punches to land 1. But he's slow)

I scored the Ortiz-Peterson for Ortiz.

But if they rematched I bet on Peterson.

He had a lot of inactivity leading up to that fight.

His people didn't want the fight at first because they knew Lamont needed a tun-up.

Peterson could very well beat Alexander.

I don't agree unlike Devon Peterson is willing/will take risk which is why he would win this fight..I Devon picking up about two to three rds before Peterson starts to smoke and ends Devon early 9th or 10th rd..
