Bradley has a solid resume and has put in enough work to make a claim as the number 1 guy.......Alexander has not.

I mean that's like saying if the Raptors beat the lakers then Toronto is the best team in the NBA.

Bradley should dominate this guy, but if he doesn't that really says more about Bradley than it does Alexander.

Yeah I agree, and it's not a knock on Alexander. Dude is 23 years old and has only about 20 fights, some could even say he's being rushed too early. On paper Bradley is suppose to win this fight to establish himself ahead of the pack, he's more seasoned, better resume, and has dominated all his opposition to this point.

Either way, here it goes. Why would you say Bradley's the better fighter of the 2 then do a quick flip and say he's "overhyped" if he loses tonight? To me it sounds like an excuse that's ready to be used on your part. I think the majority of us on here would agree that Bradley's resume is superior of the 2 so would he be overhyped if he lost to Alexander?

Is it because of the Kotelnik fight you say this? I really don't get it. If Bradley wins against someone like Devon Alexander, you're willing to chalk it up as a good or great win for Timmy? But if Alexander wins, you're gonna go out of your way and say Bradley was overhyped to begin with just to not give Alexander his props? Even before watching 1 second of the fight....

Why would I be making excuses when I'm not catching this fight live to begin with?

I'm pretty sure you misinterpreted what I said, or maybe I did a poor job of explaining myself, but here is what I meant by my comments:

First of all, when I judge fighters, I don't go off of what the boxing media or how fans view them, rather I watch a couple of their fights and judge for myself.

As of right now I think very highly of Tim from what I've seen so far. Also I said a "bit overrated" in the sense that if he loses, he isn't as good as I thought he was. Now that's not saying he isn't good at all, rather not as great as believe he is.

BTW That one poster brought up a great example with Shane vs Manny. Now a lot of people think highly of Manny, but if Shane were to dominate and KO him, while we know Manny isn't a bum, a lot of people would have a similar tone in saying he isn't as great as was made out to be....simply due to the fact that Mosley isn't that great of a fighter right now. Solid, but not great.

No, but he clearly won, unlike Alexander over Kotelnik (who khan dominated i might add)

It's quite simple really:
- Bradley is number 1, and if he beats Alexander he keeps that position. but hopefully he'll fight Khan, and if he beat's him he's lineal 140 champ
- Khan is number 2. To be number 1 and lineal champ he needs to beat the winner of Bradley-Alexander.
- Alexander is number 3 - if he beats Bradley, then i think it's fair to call him the #1, BUT he will have to beat khan to be lineal

I have Alexander behind Khan because:
- Khan dominated Kotelnik. Alexander got a gift in many people eyes. Even if you don't believe it was a hometown decision, it was a lot closer than Khan's win
- The Maidana win is > than anything Alexander has done. Yes, he got rocked in round 10 and had to run, but he won clearly (NOT a razor thin decision)
- Khan's KO loss you keep bringing up is at 135lb. Now i'm not sure if you know how boxing works, but that's lightweight - and we are talking about light-welterweight rankings

Yup the majority of the board is against Devon,saying he lost to Kotelnik & needs to rematch him & that he isn't #2 & whatever else they can muster.So,the question is if & when Devon beats Bradley,who then will ya'll claim as #1 at 140??Because quite frankly,a win over Bradley will be the best win on any 140 resume,prove different if U can,thanks.

i have no problems with the alexander-kotelnik fight and yes if devon wins he should be ranked #1 the top 3 fighters are alexander,khan and bradley and a win over bradley should definitly send who ever beats him to the #1 spot,i am one of the people who think alexander is going to lose but it's not because his performance against kotelnik i just feel like bradley is the better all around boxer and i feel like he is the more experienced fighter

Malignaggi, Maidana and Kotelnik are better wins than anything on Alexander's resume.

This makes no sense. So if Bradley wins, that's that and he's number one and wouldn't have to fight anyone to prove it. But if Alexander beats the guy who you claim is number one, he has to fight two opponents who Bradley has not faced in order to claim to be the best in the division?

how did khan clearly win when it was 6 rounds a piece and maidana got a point deducted for no reason other than being frustrated.maidana is not considered that great a boxer the only reason the fight with him and khan was such a big deal was because maidana has power and khan is looked at as a fighter with a suspect chin
