mayweather is very fortunate to have been in a boxing family. he really just needed some balls and less of that 'thug' image being afraid of a ped-up man.

pac is very fortunate to have found roach. you could imagine him being a small margarito who likes to get bruised up until you hit him in the body

I see people on here say "Floyd only needs someone to hold the mitts, if Roger got sent inside Floyd would be fine."
To a certain extent this is true, his ability to adapt in the ring to his opponents style almost comes natural to him.

With Manny it's different, Ask yourself where would Manny be today with Freddie? I can't decide.

Discuss, No trolls. *******s and *****s fuck off.
I believe that BOTH Pac and Floyd were born with special gifts. Floyd simply had the advantage to be born in a boxing family and to be trained as early as he can hold his gloves.

Pac met Roach only in his late teens. (or was it early twenties? not sure). The important thing is that BOTH used their talents/gifts/skills and made the most out of it.

Are you really trying to have a discussion or want people here to agree with you?

The first poster that came along to disagree with your view and you immediately pounced on the guy?

manny was already a multiple weight champion before he trained under roach.

he wouldn't probably be as good as he is now but lets not pretend roach made pacquiao out of scratch,

Roach said the first time he saw Manny he knew he was special.

But let's not just take Freddie's word for at and look at Manny prior to Roach coming into play:

1st At just 19 years old, Manny became world champ. Not only that he won the lineal title as well. The only guy younger than him to achieve that (atleast to my knowledge) was Wilfred Benetiz.

2nd While I have to look for it, I had a copy of KO ****zine, in which Manny was labled as one of the very best fighters in the lower weight classes. In a later issue they also stated that Midgeon Sigsurat win over Pacquiao was one of the biggest upsets of the year.

I mean you claim Floyd was born with it and Manny developed his talent with the help of Roach, but while both won world titles at the age of 19-20, Floyd benefited from having a great trainer in Floyd Sr. and Roger......while Manny had little to no resources/poor facilities and probably no good trainer when he was fighting in the Philippines.

                      @TS....

This is just me talking out my ass either.

I have know about Floyd for a very long time and he was/is one of the most talented fighters to ever come out of the amateur boxing system (In the past 20 years).

Even then, everyone always attributed it to his Dad and Uncle being former boxers, on top of being very knowledgeable on the sport as well.

Also Floyd had a lot of people, such as Sweat Pea, who were there to give him advice etc.
