yes Floyd beat the top 2 at welter in 2006 but at a time when that division was weak. When it started to hot up he left like what he is doing now. Regardless of what anyone say, pacs recent resume is impressive considering he wa featherweight 2 years ago. Tell me who are better fighters at welter that pac could have fought.
Right........ we can call the WW's weak when Floyd was running the show. I get it, your agenda is to point at Floyd.... Lets ignore HOW and WHEN Pac fought these "great" Top Rank WW's...

bottom line chief, we wont get this from Pac yet you want to blame Mayweather or point at his resume so make yourself feel better about your argument as if it justifies one single point about Pac picking and choosing certain fighters at certain weight classes at certain weights.

    Mayweather AT 147
    Martinez AT 154
    Berto AT 147
    JMM AT 140
    Alexander/Bradley AT 140 or 147

no, we will get Mosley (the fighter of 5 years ago) vs Pac, JMM AT 147 (where we know he cant perform at) vs Pac and if Bob gets his way it will be Cotto II AT 154 vs Pac...

Picking and choosing certain fighters AT certain weight classes AT certain weights. I wonder what Cotto thinks now that Pac is demanding for a fight to take place AT 147.... I recall Cotto asked the same thing. Pac had a major major major problem with this unlike when he fought De La Hoya.....

(btw Cotto was the ONLY legit TOP WW that Pac fought, it shows since Pac demanded for it to be at a CW)

What the *** are you on ?

The only welterweight that Manny EVER fought at 147, was Josh "the punching bag" Clottey. And for some strange reason, Josh did not seem to want to hurt Manny in that fight, in fact the excuses that he gave in an interview a few days later, were just bizarre.

It was not just the fact that Clottey completely ignored the only two boxing instincts that he possessed, it was the way he let Manny off the ropes in round 6 and backed up to the centre of the ring, then immediately gloved up without throwing a punch so that Manny could open up his offense. I have only ever seen that happen in the gym.

Cotto? Don't be ridiculous. EVERYONE said that Cotto was done after Margarito/Jennings/Clottey, he was faded, shop-worn, and was most definitely NOT in his prime. Plus, Pacquiao tried to cheat him on the scales.....

There are only two reasons to demand a catch-weight.....
either, you are not good enough to compete with that fighter at his natural weight, which is fine..... or you are attempting to drain him to gain an unfair advantage, which is a low down b1tch-move. Team Pacquiao tried to drain Cotto, because Manny had already fought at 147.

NOTE: I am not saying that Cotto was drained, and Manny probably could have beaten him at 147 anyways, which makes the catch-weight demand a real b1tch-move.

Just because the bullet missed, does not lessen the intent.

Margarito? You gotta be kidding me man, what the *** are you on ?

The vacant JMW title that Manny won by beating a slow, plodding, mediocre, shop-worn, WELTERWEIGHT, BUM, with no KO power, who could not have beaten any of the top welter's, and who had just been KTFO by ol' man Mosley way worse than Manny beat him.....
..... IS A TOTAL FKN JOKE.

Pick your standards up off the floor.

Most of the posters in this thread are correct. And re-read this whole thread if you don't think that on a whole it is overwhelmingly critical of Manny.

Pacquiao is a hype-job, with a manufactured resume'.

He is the most manufactured fighter in history.

Nobody else has question marks over EVERY SINGLE FIGHT that makes up the bulk of their achievements.

He is a cute story, and nothing more.

Also, Floyd didn't beat the top 2. It was the top 2 OUT OF 3. Judah was ranked #3, Margarito #2 and Baldo #1. Floyd beat the #3 guy and the #1 guy.

Funny thing was is when people said he couldn't beat Judah he did. Then they said he was ducking the much bigger man in Baldo. They also called him a coward back then too because Floyd wasn't all about fighting him. He did and he beat him to the point that people like you NOW, discredit him and any WW of that time due to Floyd beating them. With your logic Pac's win over Ricky Fatton should be a disgrace as Floyd beat him already and that must mean he was "weak". (IMO Hatton was and I said from day one that Pac would beat Hatton to the point that people would start to believe he could beat Mayweather)

After Floyd beat the #3 and #1 guy, Margarito was left at #2. Floyd would have fought him BUT Bob Arum wouldn't give him enough money so he moved up to 154 to fight De La Hoya and do what Bob said he couldn't do. No big deal as he in fact beat the #1 AT WW (no "catch")

The rest is history. He never fought a top tank fighter again. Can you guess why? Bob told Floyd no when he wanted Cotto. Bob said No to Floyd about the amount of money when it came to cheato...

You can bash the WW's of 2006 all you want. The fact that Floyd beat them the way he did made everyone think they where weak. Its always that way.

BUT Floyd beat the best and there was NO BS like pac and his picking and choosing certain fighters at certain weight classes at certain weights. Since 2008 most of these Certain fighters are subpar. SOME are even coming off losses or suspensions. Mosley's about to be added to the list and he's about to turn 40 years old and hasn't won a fight since January 2009.

Yeah that's so impressive compared to the WW's of 2006. Again Cotto was a good win, but it would have been GREAT if he didnt feel the need to demand a catchweight. Again, picking and choosing certain fighters at certain weight classes at certain weights. Another validation, a 5'11 Margarito AT JMW catchweight of 150, yet saying a 5'10 Martinez (A REAL JMW) is too big. Let alone fighting Hoya at 147 and not Cotto. Or demanding JMM to fight AT 147.

            This one.....

" Any other fighter that an opponent request a random test and he declines raise su****ions and the media and fans will beat this person down...Now we are talking about Manny Pacquiao, now is a different standard. How Floyd DARED to ask for random blood test, geezzz!!!...I guarantee that it would it been the other way around (Manny asked Floyd for a random OST) and Floyd declined it would be a hole different issue...

Now, Manny is a natural born fighter and he's very good, but been a Manny fan for a while, it's fishy how he developed from a very good fighter to whatever he's now!!!
            "
since you were the first to quote those two paragraphs from that post, why dont you explain to me first what do you think of the next paragraph after those paragraphs you bolded?

                  You mean this.....

" On Floyd, he's getting what he deserve right now, you don't beat on women, PERIOD. You are a ****y mf that taught he could do whatever he wanted and nothing was going to happen to you. As a boxer has mad skills but the truth is that since he went up in weight class, he was cheating boxing too. Picking and choosing, hiding from real challenges...your time arrived to pay your dues...when the ww division got heated Mosley, Cintron, Margacheato, Cotto, etc...whet he did? All of the sudden he needed some time off from boxing...The agenda was to let all of them beat each other up and then I jump into the mixed...got exposed..... "

Who fkn cares about that Mayweather clown? This thread is about Manny "padded" Pacquiao, and has absolutely nothing to do with the vacationer?

Why would you even mention him ?

Hey, you're not one of those dishonest little Manny fan-boy's are ya ?

The kind that defends Manny by changing the subject and attacking Mayweather ?

                  Hmmm.....

So, I have told you what I thought of that paragraph, even though you did not answer my question, and dishonestly changed the subject to Mayweather.

So, return the favor kid, tell me what you think of the following paragraph, taken from the very same article that you quoted.....
