There should be no such thing as a catch-weight fight, they were conceived to enable exhibition matches between fighters that would normally never meet.

For sanctioned bouts, they should be completely abolished. Any type of event/bout that takes place at catch-weight, should be officially classified as an exhibition match, and should not be sanctioned by the ABC bodies.

There are only two reasons to demand a catch-weight.....

1.) you are not good enough to compete with that fighter at his natural weight, which deems the bout an exhibition match and therefore should not be sanctioned

2.) you are attempting to drain him to gain an unfair advantage

I said it folks, LeadUppercut will come back and not get his contradictions and add some more contradictions....

- Manny is now holding the 147 title. So he needs to come down 7 pounds because you say that Marquez, the 135 title holder, can't do 147. Manny can't do 135. Therefore you are asking for a catch-weight of 140 since that is NOT the limit for Manny who has been fighting as a WW and that is where he holds a title.

- Perhaps Manny can come down to 140 but Arum doesn't want him to think about starving at all.

- The biggest point is the contradiction. You scream and yell that Cotto, WHO FOUGHT AT 146, his previous fight and said that he was OK with 145. YET, you screamed "This catch-weight bull**** is a joke".

You said the same with Margarito, who you called a natural WW, had a BONUS of 3lb and you said "This catch-weight bull**** is a joke"

- So Cotto and Margarito made there weight's relatively comfortable too. SO WHAT, IT'S IS STILL A CATCHWEIGHT AND SO IS A 140 fight for Manny the WW title holder vs Marquez , the 135 title holder!!!

- Martinez said he can make 150 as well but wouldn't go there because that would be going too far to please Manny and that they should fight at 154 MAX.
