Thank you sir. Although I have to say, wasn't my intention to throw Pac under the bus, more so than just promoting the cause for fresh blood.

Well that promotion throws him under the bus . And I completely agree. Truth be told, I'd rather Bradley or Martinez but if Pacquiao wants to stay at 147, then please fight Berto. No justification for Mosley, or Marquez at that weight, for that matter. The act is growing thin - and it's one it seems every pound for pound king undertakes once they sit on the throne. It's up to us to force them to **** or get off the pot.

Ha, why does everyone hate on Lyle so much? Never understood. I can get why Marley and Ronnie rub people the wrong way. Yet with Lyle, seems like anything that features his byline solicits hate-filled responses.

I personally like his stuff. Whether or not I agree with his take on any given subject is irrelevant. Dude states his case without flexing or being a prick about it, two items you often can't claim when it comes to those who prefer the contrarian POV.

That said, thanks for the props and I'm sure my p/i/c Cliff appreciates the high praise thrown his way as well.

I honestly don't think Berto wants to fight Pacquiao at this point. If he loses, he will no longer get his 2 million from HBO for fighting bus drivers!! The reality is that Top Rank & DiBella won't offer Berto more than what Margarito got for Pacquiao. Actually, he'll be offered LESS!! So Pacquiao-Berto is in fact a HUGE financial risk for Berto!! I think DiBella knows Berto isn't sweating a Pacquiao fight. They're only media play is to say that Pacquiao is "ducking" him, which is a good laugh lol

Berto has stated on several occasions that he'd love to fight Pacquiao and wants to fight Pacquiao. What now?

His last fight interview seems to suggest this theory of yours. I have the same observation.

I agree, Berto definitely said that. But that's 'the calling out game", which seems to mean a lot to certain people, when in fact it's mostly posturing. In my opinion, I think at the end of the day Berto and his manager (Al Haymon, who hates Arum) will look at the offer and hope Pacquiao doesn't pick him because financially Berto would risking EVERYTHING if he lost badly to Pacquiao. His recent struggle with a past his prime southpaw Collazo says it all.

IMO, GREED is what is killing it for the fans of boxing. Who gives a crap what makes THEM more money if they're giving us match-ups that quite frankly suck, and when there's more legitamate match-ups that can be made. I say the only way to make a statement about that is to stop buying it. But they figure that the fans just want to see one fighter, and hardcore fans just want to see boxing, so they'll be dumb enough to buy it no matter what. And unfortuneatley so far, they continue to prove them right. I'm tired of hearing (paraphrase) "You'll get what you get cause it makes us more money then giving you what you want." Arum has already blantantly told the world that he doesn't give a **** what any of the fans want. We, as fans, need to tell him (by way of not buying bad match ups) that he better care.

To be completely honest, I didn't buy the FMJ/Mosely fight solely because it seems #'s are more important to Floyd then who he fights. He and a lot more fighters are using the #'s reason to not fight many credible and deserving fighters. And although I'm a huge Pacquiao fan, I'm completely against a Pac/Mosely fight, so the same rules should apply. It will be the first Pacquiao fight I will not have bought, but I think a statement must be made. It can only be made though if others that feel the same way don't give in and buy it. When people continue to buy in to what makes the most $$ over what fights people really want to see, it just gives Arum full reign to continue to do this to us in the future. And let's be honest, Pac doesn't have too many fights left to give us, and I don't want to see those last few fights be "what makes more $$$ sense".

I just wish Pac would go back to "I want to give the fans what they want" rather then "what ever my Promoter says". What he really needs is to get some good, honest people around him that will tell him what it is the fans "really" want to see. Because, let's be honest - it seems like guys like Koncz and Arum can tell him "This is what the fans want to see" (which is laughable) and for whatever reason he seems to believe him. I wish Pac could read good English and would read it for himself. It seems like the only way he would ever know the truth.

                  This is just my opinion.

                    Your opinion contradicts facts.
