    Vic Darchinyan and his team are planning to protest Saturday's split decision loss to Abner Mares at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington. The fight was a semi-final bout in Showtime's bantamweight tournament. Two judges saw it for Mares with scores of 115-111 and 114-112. A third judge had it 115-111 for Darchinyan.

          I totally agree. It was a close fight but in this case, Mares forced the action and landed more punches. And I love how Vic complained that the ref wouldn't let him 'cheat'. It is not allowed to stick your arm out and leave it out there and measure your opponent. And Vic complained that the ref wouldn't let him fight his fight and referenced the sticking out of the arm. Yes, the ref did kinda suck but he was right on that point and right about some low blows being the result of Vic pulling Mares head down.

          This protest has no bearing. Vic lost, plain and simple and he needs to get over it. He cries too damn much....

            it wasn't a one sided fight it was an academic fight, darchinyan looked like the lesser fighter, and as for him protesting not only the score but the knockdown, the knockdown was legit because regardless if he hurt him or not and was off balance, a punch landed and even being off balanced, it was the tipping point to put him on his seat....... so, no argument there to really take to court. we all know if the knockdown was the other way in that situation darchinyan wouldn't be saying anything.

            this just strengthens my comments about vic....
