Agbeko was in a zone yesterday. Complete control against a very good and busy fighter. We all expected to see that first fight all over again.

Agbecko is a streaky fighter. I have seen him look that good before but then there are times we he is kinda sloppy (Vic fight).

While I think Agbecko fought great, I also thought Yohhny was flat and not his usually self.

Perez has been in 3 wars back to back (mabuza, Agbecko, mares) and I think it may have caught up with him.

He's not shot or anything, but he may need a break before he comes back and takes a trilogy fight with Agbecko and a rematch with Mares.

Maybe an easy fight here or 6-8 months rest there to help re-energize him.

Props to Abgecko because he was on his absolute best....just the usually version of Yohnny would have made it a lot closer of a fight and possible would have been enough to give him the nod.

What azclassy display by Agbeko. Rough, but defensive, his ducking and firing that right or left to the body and his "swimming without getting wet" was impressive.

He allowed yonny to get him in a brawl twice but cleared his senses after the round and went back to putting on a clinic in and all action highly entertaining top level prizefight.

I was also impressed with how relaxed he fought. He was fluid and loose in there and was in fantastic shape. I saw him do the same early in the Vic d fight but then he took the easy way out and just Andre warded Vic.

Props to agbeko who I also liked the post fight interview with. He's creeping up my favorite fighters to watch list.
Mares was fighting a guy that's too small for bantam.

I think I may pick agbeko in the finals.
He was leading with that sneaky right hand and was on fire with it last night. I never knew he would have that kind of all around game in him, but he did look awesome.

Agbeko's game plan was what did it. It worked perfectly.

That said, Perez just didn't have it in him either. He had a few good rounds but then slowed down as it appeared that he had nothing left in him. His punches lacked steam. Of course, Agbeko's in and out and ring movement made it tough for Perez to hit him BUT for the most part those punches of Perez had no intent written on them.

I agree about yohnny. He was not at his best and even though he remained busy it was without his usual energy. We saw a little bit of that in his last fight with Mares ( who I thought won).

Thought mares won by a round. Here's how I know yonny wasn't off, like y'all think he was- when agbeko decided to stop boxing and brawl with perez, perez looked like himself. Yonny fights one style and that's it. Just like pavlik. He can't be off and look slow when his opponents is controlling the fight and then look great when he's controlling the fight then be having an off night.

An off night is pwill v quintana 1. That's an off night.

He had good rounds when agbeko fought yhonny's fight. It'd not fair to discredit king kongs win, when jhonny looked his best during portions of the fight.

That was a pound for pound performance. Didn't know he had it in him. Thought he hurt Perez on a couple occasions as well but never pressed his advantage. And he took some hellacious shots and never budged. That bantam tourney is just SICK.
