The right guy won Benny. I was rooting hard for Vic but Abner landed more punches and was backing up Vic almost all the time. Abner was getting hit by Vic's vaunted left but he offset it by having more body punches in and it paid off, the ratio was one Vic's big leftstraight against Mares' 4-5 body shots and it paid off. Vic was running on fumes in the last 3-4 rounds. Mares was a sitting duck for Darchinyan's right hook right off the bat, and Vic couldn't seem to miss, but Vic doesn't seem to use that weapon in his arsenal that often...

That's very true. He has a very sneaky, quick and hard right hook. He set up some beautiful combo's with it against Mijares and Kirilov but has never used it enough.

If he wants to stay relevant he should work on getting that right hook into his combinations much more as people just don't expect it. His uppercut is also very devastating.

Oh well, I hope he can come back with some more wins and get a couple of big fights left to end his career on. He deserves it, and although most people here dislike him, he's been one of the genuine warriors of this eras crappy champions climate and has fought everyone and always come to fight and win big.

Fight turning in Perez' favor. Agbeko has nullified his hook but Perez now landing the right regularly. Look for the hook to make an appearance soon.
