its cuz jr isnt the peoples champ and PAC is like the peoples champ cuz he a humble guy and floyd personality isnt that... 'life style flashy' thats why most people hate him cuz hes so full of it and he still wonders why people dont like him....if floyd was someone like manny a humble dude to the very end he would b much luved and celebrated in the community and boxing and overall a great person ...a peoples champ

I agree. But, I think that people should be able to seperate PR from reality. And the reality is, Team Pacquaio has put a lot more effort into making the public believe that Mayweather is ducking Pac than genuine effort in making the fight happen. That's the only thing I have a problem with.

Hell, I'm a Mayweather fan and I wouldn't want to hang out with him because of the way he conducts himself publically. But that has absolutely nothing to do with what he's done in the boxing ring. And most interested parties seem unable or unwilling to seperate the two.

Good one by Arum, if you ask me. The only issue is that they may both agree on Mosley because of the obvious reasons!!! Floyd wants to remain on vacation and Mosley and Hopkins are buddies.

Not trying to defend Pac but facts are facts. Pacquiao came up from 106 lbs or so. Those were his coming thru the ranks sort of speak years. There just not that many "African Americans" in the smaller weight classes. Also at that stage in his career, he wouldn't be fighting the Elite AA of those weight classes if any.

Now that Pac is fighting at a bigger weight class were you have a bigger variety of fighters and is an elite fighter. We're not seeing boxing of old, were they used the ranking system and who ever deserved, got the fight (regardless of color).

Today matchups are being made thru popularity status, PPV sales, who's not mad at who (promoter feuds). Aside of Mayweather I think Cheeto was his biggest pay out of Mosely n Berto (considering size, drama etc.,)

So I believe it's not about being black, it's about seeing GR$$N. If Mayweather does not go thru he'll probably fight an elite AA fighter. Not cause there black but because they're are the next big GR$$N fighter.

Finally. If B-Hop ever fights Lucien Bute I guess he'll say his Mama's black cuz that white boy will beat him from pillar to post, with lots of soul (slickness). Oh, let's see if he can get past a non AA black man in Pascual.

That's not a bad thing in my view, it's good for boxing. The core of every classic battle is good vs evil, and Pac and Floyd embody (publicly) the two separate archetypes. That makes for high drama and emotional investment by fans, which is one of the main reason Pac-Floyd is in such high demand. Let's be honest, Floyd's style and in-ring performances aren't the reason people pay to see him. It's the whole 'Money' persona he constructed to sell tickets, and it's worked beautifully.

i dont want mosely fightin pac the speed will overwelm him just like floyd speed did and mosely lost bad to floyd and couldnt beat sergio mora so pac beats him easily...and i most definitely dont want marquez fightin pac at 147 thats not even a challenge....mayweather fight has to happen! and as far as berto i juss dont think hes ready hes good but not ready for that level

I want Nanny to come out and say I'll agree to random testing with no cut off dates with a 50/50 purse and then I'll jump on Pac's bandwagon.

This isn't true Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson was considered the best flyweight while Pac was fighting there. he fought David Diaz at lightweight instead of Casamayor or Campbell. We all know the guys currently at 140. And although he's not black", Paulie Ayala was the universally recognized champ at 122 when Pac fought there. He fit into the slick, good boxer catagory and Pac never fought him. So there's definitely a deep body of slick boxers that have been missed by Pac on his way up the scale.
