    It's called magnanimity. or class if you may.
    That is exactly what we need in boxing nowadays.

    Pacquiao will also show remorse towards floyd after the fight.

        for hurting him and for what he put his family through.

        This might just be a game to you guys behind your computer screens, but it's very real to the fighters.

        At the end of the day, it's just a sport- it's just their job. No need to carry feelings.(though many do- and it drives many crazy)

        by doing that, Pac was basically saying " I respect you." And who wouldn't? Margarito showed more heart than I have ever seen.

        Edit: sorry if anyone thinks i'm nuthugging pac and following everything he does. It's not that, it's just that Filipinos are taught this type of mindset- respect and consideration for others is number 1, unless they disrespect you, then it's war.

        It''s not that filipinos are acting like pac, it's that pac is acting like a filipino.

          im pretty sure pacquiao won't show mercy when he fights floyd. but good for floyd he would be like ricky hatton. he won't feel any pain cuz he'd be knocked out early which i hope not. i dont want pacquiao to knock mayweather out. i want him to punish him til the very last bell.

            I'd be fine if Pacquiao was able to take him out early, I don't need to see fighters get brutally beaten to a pulp to be happy. I don't really have anything against Floyd other than I want to see Pac/Floyd happen.

              manny is all class---there's no argument in that---it's also been obvious for years---he's a class A stand up guy---nice as they come---i would love to meet him and hang out with manny--it would be so fun imo-----great fighter---greater spirit---but he will still get his ass whooped fighting floyd--and there's nothing wrong with that---everybody who fights him does---lol--

                yes says the man with a shooter in his avatar.

                You and the thread starter don't get the point, worshipping people for showing "class" after they intentionally commit the act (and will continue to with other opponents)of what they then apologize for is assanine. If a murderer is sorry for killing because he claims he didn't realize shooting someone in the head would kill them, do you instantly forgive them? Seriously, what did Pacquiao expect?

                  it's business in the ring, the hurt business to be exact. Pacquiao is a professional in the ring, ready to protect his position in the business. outside of the ring, he's a gentleman, plain and simple. so he provided his apologies, plain and simple.

                  class act.

                    yup-you're exactly right--coz he'll realize that he was crazy for thinking he could beat floyd----he'll apologize to him for it---and show remorse towards him--trust me--

                      Pacquiao has to much of a good heart I guess. Still, you cant take away the gentlemen Pacquiao is, he really does hurt people badly, something that the majority of boxers cant do. He decapitate's people and destroys their souls, what do you expect? Are you trying to say it's not OKAY to respect an opponent after a fight? Pacquiao is a real man, he doesn't talk ****.
